Awesome boot
It took several different sizes to get a good fit. I settled on mens size 9 even though they were not snug width-wise. I wrote to Xero about my concerns and their reply stated I should try a women’s size 2 to 2 1/2 sizes larger. By now, the return period had passed, mostly because of myself. I purchased a woman’s size 11 1/2 and it was a great fit. I contacted customer service and inquired about returning the original pair. Xero investigated and determined there was no wear on the original Xero boots and I returned them for a full refund. So, besides being an awesomely comfortable and waterproof boot, Xero has outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this boot.

Good fit, comfortable, durable
Love these shoes - I require a completely flat sole to keep from falling - these are perfect, sturdy and well made. GREAT shoes!!

Not very wide for barefoot shoes
They do look to be well made BUT If you want a barefoot hiking boot that is wide these are not it. Yes they may be a little wider than the average hiking boot but if you have a square toe box plus high volume arch they aren’t going to have enough room.

Great Hiking Boots
These boots feel great they even have flat insoles which is super rare to find in shoes they are water resistant not waterproof.

Not a true barefoot shoe
This shoe is not a true barefoot shoe at all. The toe box was very narrow. My husband (who does not wear barefoot shoes or know much about them at all) said honey this looks really narrow, more narrow than my shoes. And it was very narrow. I had to squeeze my foot in just to make sure it wouldn't work ignoring the sight of it alone. For how lightweight they advertise them to be it didn't seem like it.

I think my left shoe was made WRONG
The media could not be loaded. I got a pair over a month ago and I had to return them. My usual shoe size is 8-8½. They were so small on me I ordered a 9½ and they fit fine. The 1st day walked in them I didn't want take them off but my left Achilles tendon was sore. The 2nd day I felt my Achilles sore the entire time. I hope it's just me getting used to them. I'll do some work with my feet and lower legs.Ok I've been using these replaced shoes that are now my size for a couple of weeks. I have regained from reviewing them because I knew it would be an adjustment. I think the left shoe was manufactured wrong. My right shoe is awesome. My left shoe was so bad today I had to actually remove them and walk barefoot for real.So it stared with my left Achilles tendon feeling a lot of pressure with some discomfort then that improved but my inferior to my left lateral malleolus (below my left outside ankle bone) felt varying degrees of pain and pressure depending on the day.I tried loosening the laces and tightening them. I tried also with different socks. I have very thin 5 finger socks that I tried. I tried regular cree socks and I tried thicker hiking boot socks. The thicker one were the worst! That's what I used today. My right shoe is super fantastic but the left made me limp to avoid any ankle movement and it still hurt.Maybe the top ankle part of the left shoe should have gone on a right foot shoe and not a left foot shoe. IDK 😐So I did try to return them but they stayed in my car because my mom had to go to the hospital and stuff and I I just forgot about it. I really want these shoes to work. I think I'm going to try to stretch them. I'll let you know if it works. I mean the right shoe fits fine.Ok now October 2022 I can say that the front of the shoe is falling apart after daily use and even before the vinal started to detach these shoe were at best water resistant (that is if you walk but not run through a short distance of dewy grass and the tops your socks didn't get wet the inside of the shoe remained dry).Remember that this a progressive review that I add to over time.

Light support- great minimalist hiking option!
Great feel- comfortable for my wide tall feet with just enough support for hiking. These were fantastic- on their first hike they took me 3 miles and my out of shape feet had never felt so good afterward! I usually have a hard time with structured shoes and boots pinching in the toe box, rubbing or putting too much pressure on the top of my tarsals, or irritating my Achilles with the back collar/heel notch. These had none of these issues! (I usually wear Birkenstock sandals and went up a half size.)

The sizing is ridiculous
I’m usually a size 41 euro. I purchased USA size 10. My first impression when I got them out was how narrow they are. I tried them on after walking for an hour wearing other barefoot shoes so my feet were about as swollen as they could be after a day hiking.Narrow without socks. Uncomfortable with hiking merino socks. There was about a cm space at the end of the shoe so regardless I will have had to return for the next size up, but it was the width which was the biggest worry.I really deliberated over the size and contacted Xero to ask how to measure your foot and how to equate the measurements to Xero sizing. The response was pretty vague and basically said to go with your normal sizing and not euro sizing.I also found it quite tight by the heal but at least there does not seem to be any movement there. I don’t find the sole to be as flexible as I imagined. The sole bends at the widest part of the toe box where your foot bends, however I am concerned the crease might seem uncomfortable after a while.Edit - I have had these on my feet for an hour - just sitting in a chair and they really are quite painful and tight. Decision made to return. How these are barefoot and wide toe box is beyond me!The look and feel of the boot is nice. It would be fine as an everyday boot, bit not a hiking boot. Just for heavens sake Xero, sort your sizing out!I will be returning this item and have just processed the return to see that I will get the refund in 14 days. Not good enough. - I just changed the review from 2 stars to 1 star

Regalo molto apprezzato

Boots seem fine, but sizing is crazy.
Way too small for a UK size 8. I even ordered a size up and still too small. I think they must be us sizing or something even thought it only says UK sizes on Amazon. But there wasn't a woman's size up from the one I bought last, so I've not bothered ordering again.

The sizing is wrong
The sizing is incorrect. The label reads uk 6 and eur 38. Eur 38 is a Five not a Six

BOOTS ADVERTISED AS WATERPROOF. RECEIVED 01.06.23. NOW LEAK LIKE SIEVES. WORN 4 TIMES IN TOTAL.
These boots are advertised as waterproof.I have used them a total of 4 times since purchase on 01.06.23.Today, both have started to leak at the toe area of the boot - wet socks & chilly feet.At £160, I expected to get more (dry) wear from them.As they are out of the Amazon 30 day returns period, I am trying to navigate how to return them for replacement. It ain’t easy folks.Poor show all round.Extremely disappointing.
