My daughter recently had a small fire at her sorority house in their air fryer. All ended well. But this event made me think I need to get this for her in case the next time they aren’t able to react so quickly. It was a great value for the money this product. It’s easy to use. The size is perfect. It is not heavy and it is very portable. The blankets (2) do not take up much space at all. They come individually packaged. It comes with a hook for each of them that you can fasten on a wall, inside a cabinet or just put the blanket in a draw. It also comes with one pair of gloves. Every home should have this. It will give you peace of mind.

I got this because I always forget to renew my fire extinguishers. This is awesome because it’s user friendly and fast acting. It also comes with gloves to handle the blanket and little hooks so you can hang the bags with the blankets in them. I feel like this is a great house warming gift and absolutely worth the money.

I'll start by saying that I'm not one to deliberately start a fire on our stove in order to test this blanket. For now, I'll just make the assumption that it will work. So I, unfortunately, can't provide a complete review. However, I will say that it appears to be what I would expect and I have every confidence that it will work as desired. The case is nice and it comes with a stick-on hook that can be used to hang it on a cabinet door, or similar location. We haven't yet decided exactly where we will keep it, so we haven't hung it. It also comes with the gloves. I'll put these in the pouch and keep them with the blanket. Again, I won't test them by sticking my hand in a flame while wearing them, but I do expect they provide some protection. They also have some "sticky" patches on the palm and fingers to aid in gripping things.So while I can't truly say this blanket will put out a serious stove fire, we are more comfortable having it on hand. We still do have an extinguisher in the kitchen as well, but due to the ease of use of this blanket, as well as the lack of mess/cleanup required when you do use, I will plan to reach for this first. I can see even a minor smoking pot issue could be aided with this blanket--throw it over the pot and run it outside to keep from smoking up your house.

Been wanting a fire blanket or two to keep in the home in case, and this is a set of 2 so it’s perfect.

This fire blanket is compact, secure, and looks to be well made. I store it in my closet and its bright coloration makes it easy to access, + the clear bright instructions on the back make it easy to follow instructions even when my brain switches to panic mode. This gives me peace of mind!

We used a torch to test the heat resistance of the blanket using a heat-sensing app. The attached pictures show the blanket after being exposed to the torch. While I haven't personally tested the blanket in a small fire situation, I've seen demonstration videos with other fire blankets and understand that the fiberglass material used in this blanket is non-flammable and can withstand temperatures of around 1000 degrees before melting. Since this blanket is a blend of fire-resistant fiberglass material, I believe the claim that it can withstand up to 580 degrees is accurate, and the material does the work of controlling a fire and preventing it from spreading or smothering it. The breathable weave of the blanket won't completely cut off oxygen to a fire, but it will divert the flow of oxygen, which I believe would be very helpful in extinguishing a fire.It is my impression that this blanket is intended for one-time use only. While other fire blankets claim to be reusable, I have my doubts because my video shows that the blanket burns up in high heat. I wouldn't want to compromise safety in an emergency by folding it up and using it again. The product description does not suggest that it can be used more than once, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you on that.When we burned the blanket, it emitted fumes that smelled very toxic. So, in case of a fire, I know I do not necessarily need to tell you to ventilate the area after the fire is out, but it's always worth mentioning because in emergency situations we tend not to think clearly. I was holding my breath and blowing the fumes away while we were testing it with the torch; very stinky and chemical-smelling, which could be expected. Overall, I would recommend this product for use in areas of the home where fires might occur and where lithium batteries are stored. Although I am unsure of its performance in an actual fire, I believe it would perform well in a small fire emergency.
