Planet of the Apes Adventures Epic Collection: The Original Marvel Years

The stories are pretty faithful to the first 2 films but the colours applied to them give the stories a real sense of fun . Its a shame the volume is so slim compared to other Marvel epic collections but that was reflected in the price at the time I ordered so fair enough.

The stories are fine (someone else noticed that they were censored from the original black and white, not surprised as these were for a different market and the stories were toned down a bit from B&W to colour, I assume there has been nothing changed from the colour to the epic / omnibus). The epic collection should have perhaps included those changes at the back in the bonus section. The bonus section was non existent which is sad, surely there must be an inked page or two or sketch / draft that could have been included in the volume especially considering the price for the very slimmest of epics from Marvel (perhaps even including some Apeslayer would have been great),The art etc is fine and the stories are superb and follow much the same as the film, though there are some minor changes and camera angles etc, perhaps what works well in a film doesn't translate as well to the comics adaption.The book was well packaged and was all fineHope that Marvel release all the B&W comics as an omnibus and follow with the epics, and also perhaps include an extra apeslayer etc one

Colour reprints of the first two movies which I remember from the seventies. Book a bit on the short side they could easily fitted all five of the original movies into one volume.

True to the colour comic from which this epic collection is based on. However, upon review I noticed that both the original comic and this book have been censored as several pages have been excluded from both adaptations of the first two Planet of the Apes films as they originally appeared in the Planet of the Apes black and white magazine by Marvel.

Nice to find all the classic marvel issues in one place.

Book was shipped in plastic bag. Arrived bent with torn cover.
