I've heard great things but really!
Up to this point in my beginning watercoloring I've used several types of paper that were wood based because of cost. Mainly the Carson and Strathmore 400 series in 90-140lbs in all shapes and sizes. All the books, forums, and reviews always say cotton cotton cotton and I'm so grateful I decided to try it out because I am growing more comfortable in both the medium and the cost of decent supplies. The paper has a different feel and even my boyfriend was like this is fancy stuff.Overall I noticed that the paper is great for wet on wet techniques and blending. I don't feel the need to "rush" through washes or details. I had success for the first time with successfully lifting out color too and that was very exciting for me :)Only tip would be to make sure you have your sponge and blow dryer handy. The paper is as absorbent as they come (with minimal to no buckling) and I found both tools necessary throughout. Would recommend to all and will be purchasing more once I get through my remaining papers!

Great Watercolor Paper!
My Arches cold press watercolor paper arrived quickly and in great condition. Arches is a fantastic paper. I've tried 25% cotton with wood pulp added paper, and am not happy with the results. It may be less expensive, but you lose hours of work, when the outcome of your creativity and labor give poor, unexpected results. 100% cotton Arches watercolor paper may cost a little more, but you are paid with results that are completely within your expectations. I'll continue to use Arches.

Best watercolor paper I have ever used
This is currently my second choice of watercolor paper, my first choice is 300 lb Arches watercolor paper. This particular size allows me to create a variety of smaller paintings and I have tried a variety of different professional grade and student grade watercolor papers. Some of the other brands use fake texturing and while others are inconsistent from each batch production. I have never had any problems with how Arches paper will respond to my style of work. No matter were you are in your watercolor painting development it is always best to stay with a product that is highly dependable.

Heaven paper for watercolors
Awesome quality watercolor paper. It's such a joy to work on this paper vs. the others. It's a little pricey so I do ration myself and use the practice paper until I'm ready to paint a keeper. Oh.. but the color retention... the smooth absorption of the water... the texture. It's really quite lovely. Good price, too, compared to my local art supply store. I was concerned that it might arrive with a crimp or fold in the paper, but no problem at all - paper was perfectly flat.

Awesome quality paper
This is my absolute favorite watercolor paper. I use Arches cold press more than any other type of watercolor paper. This cold press is my favorite because the surface is slightly textured, yet smooth enough for finer detail like the eye of this cat. It also works really well for wet-in-wet techniques, which is the majority of my paintings (this cat eye included).

Best watercolor paper!
This is my first choice for my watercolor art! This is the best paper! It's strong and really holds up to a lot of water usage. I always stretch my paper on a board. It stands up to scrubbing. It's thick do it doesn't warp as much as cheap brands. (If it does I just steam iron it flat and remount and continue painting).

My fave wc paper at a wonderful price! Yes, i will take two packages!
Arches cold press watercolor paper is one of my favorite papers to paint on. The way the color spreads across the surface is just lovely. This seller had a great price on both the hot a b day cold press packages, so I was lucky enough to be able to buy both. They were packaged well, and handled quickly. I will be buying from this seller again soon.

Great paper for many mediums
If you are beginner you may want to use this paper because it will absorb your paint better than the less expensive ones. It is a great paper for gouche painting as well.

So lovely to work with
Best watercolour paper I have used, and by now I have tried a lot! In this case you pay for quality, and it's worth it for the experience. It wets evenly, has a perfect texture, doesn't dry on you instntly and the paint flows lovely on the surface.

Great paper
The paper is really great, and it holds a lot of water. However, when you sketch on it with an HB pencil, the lines smudge way easier than on other watercolour paper I've tried. It also feels rough to the touch. All in all, it's a great product, but if you use pencil a lot before painting, you should be aware of how easily it smudges.
