Arrived fast. Case is not usable on a belt. Good for storing. Works well for poor man's survey tool.

Mm…a great learning device, but not for pros.
The original description called this a Brunton. It’s not. It is a lenstatic compass. It is beafy.The site line and the split in the mirror on the lid is just a hair off. And I mean a hair. But that can change things. Either the needles mark is slightly off or the scale around the compass is off, but when north points to zero, south points to 179° maybe 179.5° but its definitely not 180° as it should be. No flat edge as a ruler, kind of lame. Are you a scout with a limited budget? This is fine. Are you wanting to try your hand at orienteering? This is fine. Are you a student geologist or archeologist? This is fine. Are you a working professional cartographer, explorer, geologist, archeologist? Pass on this and get the real deal.
