The quality of these sun dried tomatoes is exceptional. The color is vibrant, the tomatoes are moist and as you can see from my photos, these tomatoes don’t look like shoe leather like so many other brands of sun dried tomatoes. I’m storing my tomatoes in 2qt. containers drowned in olive oil with Italian herbs. Yum 😋 Ready to use anytime in omelets, pasta, pizza, salad, etc.. I highly recommend this product and I’ll be a repeat customer. YUM 😋 🍅

I bought these based on the great ratings and the really nice color of the sundried tomatoes they advertised. What I received was NOTHING like this. The color of the tomatoes were dark brown, they looked like a mass of rotted mush. When I opened them, they didn't have the smell of nice, fresh sundried tomatoes. I really don't know how to describe the smell. The look of them was so unappetizing that I really hesitated to try one in case they were bad. I finally gave them the benefit of the doubt, as long I closed my eyes and did not look at what I was eating. Just as the look, I'd have to give the product a very, very subpar rating. Unfortunately it is not returnable. Which is sad, no one likes to lose good money. Something this bad should be returnable when the product is bad. This is the first product on Amazon I have ever ordered that was rated so high that I have been disappointed in. I really count on those ratings. I have put pictures up so that you can make your own judgements. I would absolutely NOT recommend this product! I seldom write reviews unless a product is so amazing I want people know about, or in this case, so bad that I want people to avoid.

These tomatoes are quite soft and moist compared to other sun-dried tomatoes I've tried. I wouldn't be surprised if 20% of the five-pound weight of a bag is remaining moisture. Given how moist they are, I don't know if they might be inclined to develop mold or spoil if not refrigerated. I use these to snack on and since I don't like cold tomatoes, I have not refrigerated mine (the package doesn't specify to refrigerate after opening). So far, a couple weeks after I first opened them, they are still fine.Having said that, they're quite flavorful and not overly salty. I own a food dehydrator, and I loaded it up with about a half bag of these tomatoes, sprinkled them with a mixture of Italian seasonings and garlic powder, and dried them at 135 degrees for two to three hours and they came out just the way I like them.

I couldn’t stop snacking on these while vacuum sealing in two cup packages for freezing😬. Very flavorful. I’ve tried other brands that also tasted good but I think these are better. They aren’t as dried out as other brands so a little moist but I was freezing them so that was ok. Can’t wait to use in some recipes like Sundried tomato chicken Alfredo 😋

At one point I worked in a quality control laboratory testing fruit pie fillings and sulfite-bathed apples. The sulfite set the color, preventing browning. A one-star reviewer of these tomatoes seems to have been shipped product that was NOT treated. The rest of us (purchasers) received the proper product. Flavor in this product is far more 'natural' than the apple treatments we used in those days. I chop these and add them to braises and to pasta sauces and as a garnish on pizza. My wife and I both love the results.
