Good Quality
Super thick paper, does bend when applying the water color but can flatten easily. Good value for the money, most other art supplies store overprice their watercolor paper. I only purchase this brand!

Great bargain for 100% cotton paper for practice or framing.
This paper does buckle when gotten quite wet, as at least one reviewer has posted, but if left taped till dry, which for me was maybe an hour without using a fan or blow dryer, it flattened right back out. I also didn't find that any of the paper tore when I removed the tape, either. I just use ordinary bright blue masking tape like you'd use painting a wall. I've used this tape with other papers when it did sometimes take off a little of the surface of the paper, but this paper was fine. And even though I tried to cause some, I didn't find any pilling, either.Although I might use this paper more as a practice paper because of the economy of it, I wouldn't hesitate to use it to create paintings given as gifts as well. The texture is nice and is the same on both sides, as far as I can see and feel. It isn't more smooth on one side than the other. I ordered the package of 200 sheets and haven't tried other packages so maybe the other sizes do have a smooth and a more textured side as I saw mentioned in another review.I paint more wet on dry or wet on damp. When doing that and not adding extremely wet washes as I did to test this paper, I have no problems with the paper rippling. As to it not being pure white, it's close enough that I don't really notice. I sometimes find pure white to be a little glaring unless I'm painting something in which I want to use bright white as a saved feature like sunlight on snow for instance, or in which I'm going to use a transparent single wash that the bright white will add luminosity to.I'm very pleased with this paper and will certainly purchase it in the future. It compares quite favorably to Bee paper, which I've used for several years now, but this paper is quite a bit cheaper.

Decent quality for the price
I have observed lately a large number of watercolor papers on the market that claim to be 100%cotton but at low prices and large quantities that seem like an unlikely combination given how pricey good cotton paper usually is. So my curiosity peaked and I decided to check out this one, as I was able to find a smaller quantity to sample. I wasn't sure I wanted to be stuck with 120 pages of junky paper. I have actually been pleasantly surprised. I am not sure I entirely believe that this paper is 100%cotton, but in putting it through its paces I have found it does a decent job. I also can't tell if it has any sizing on it, either external or internal, to help control the flow and absorption of the paint and water. The jury is still out on that aspect. So a summary of my early thoughtsPros:very good price for large amounts of paperI was able to get fairly smooth washes and it doesn't seem streakyThere is a textured side and a smooth side. The texture is gentle repetitive lines, not too pronounced, and not distractingI was able to glaze quite a few layers on and not have it pick up previous layersThe colors I was using (which are professional watercolors) came out VERY vibrant and sharpSo far I haven't had any pilling in the paintings I have done.Cons:A BIG one is that the first sheet I painted I put tape on and it TORE terribly. I retried it again with putting the tape on my shirt before putting on the paper and it helped but there was still minor tearing. I seriously doubt it could hold up to masking fluid. It DOES buckle with lots of water. Now, if taped down it settles down nicely when dried, but the aforementioned problems with tape make that a scary propositionSo in summary, it is a decent paper for practice. I doubt I would do any commissioned or fancy framed works with it, but more casual practice it is hard to beat the price. I would say it is nicer than Canson XL. Definitely nowhere near Arches. I would say it falls slightly under the quality of Bee Paper, which I have greatly enjoyed in the past.

As expected
Great quality. True to size. I got this size so that after they are painted on we put them in a photo album. It’s not an overly thirsty paper like others I have tried.

I chose this weight paper to do some watercolor painting. Very versatile, great thickness, water resistant, and takes in paint well.
