Never Have I Had a Book Like this Before
We all hear about self care - But when It comes down to it, both myself and my clients have a hard time figuring out what to do besides spa treatments, eating, or retail therapy.This book teaches us some extraordinary things we can do in 5 mins with what we already have in our homes!Not only am I now a fan of this book, I am also going to buy this for the participants of my retreat as a going away present.Self care gets thrown around as if we all understand what it truly is - and maybe we do, but this book allows us to see self care from many perspectives, from defining the 5 types of self care to including a wheel of emotions.I have dog eared mine for quick reference when I am feeling anxious and can't understand why - in fact, one of the activities saved my day recently. "Ask the Question" on page 60. I had to realize these feelings came from thoughts that were not factual. I had to let it go.There is another that I really enjoy, wind down w gratitude on p 15. My friends and I use Marco Polo to communicate throughout the day. We now incorporate THIS exact practice sincee reading Dr Braithwaite's book.The book is well worth its weight.

Brilliant & Practical!!
If like me, you’re a busy professional woman with caregiving responsibilities, this is the book for you. This is like a recipe book for wellness. It’s super user friendly, and chock full of useful ideas that I can complete in as little as 5 minutes. I’m so grateful to have received an Advance Review Copy. Because this book is too important to keep to myself, I plan on purchasing copies for my girlfriends and for women in my family. As women we don’t always make the very necessary decision to take care of ourselves, but “Self-Care Activities for Women” makes it easy to do so!

Self Care made accessible and fun!
Before even opening “Self-Care Activities for Women” the uplifting colors on the cover made me smile. Flipping through the colorful pages continued to peek my interest in exploring the book. Indeed there are multiple simple, easy suggestions to explore. Dr. Horsham-Brathwaite’s easy going, playful style of presenting exercises to try out makes this tool a helpful reminder of the many ways we can in fact care for ourselves. Whether it is a 3, 5, or 20 minute activity or a couple of hours there is something for everyone to try. Thank you Doc!

Beautiful, Insightful Book
Incredible book! I loved reading through different activities and thoughts on taking care of oneself. I like that the author is a trained mental health professional, which separates this book from similar books.Beautiful illustrations as well. This would be a great gift for another or oneself!
