Admit it - You’ve always wanted one of these.
I don’t believe that there is a single child in the world that hasn’t seen one of these magical electrical balls and immediately wanted one. I never really knew what they did or what their purpose was, or if they were dangerous, or if they were only for scientific purposes, or if they were only for mad scientists in labs creating crazy monsters or inventions. And in my mind that question was never answered. I didn’t know what it was called, what it did, how it worked, if it was dangerous, or where to get one.The truth is, I still don’t know the answer to most of those questions. I can tell you that it is safe and what it does is mesmerize you and meet every expectation you had as a child for how cool having one of these would be. I can also tell you where to get one – here. No, you don’t need a license or to be a scientist, or to own a laboratory, or to reanimate corpses - It turns out there are no pre-qualifications for owning one of these cool electrical touchy ball things. I still don’t know the actual name or how it works but I can tell you it is awesome .I did take off one star because there are not as many lightning bolt things inside the globe as shown in the product image. This was a bit of a bummer, but still did not take away from the magical experience of finally owning one of these glass balls of lightning and fulfilling a childhood dream.

Really works but best in a darker room
Ordered this but was not sure if it would really work the way that the larger ones do at the Science Museums. But, I was proven wrong! If the room is really lit up, it is hard to see the electricity moving but, put it into a darker area...and you can see the lightening moving around on the fingertips. Fun to have and fun to use...

Cool item; smaller than expected and not as pictured (Update: it failed, replacement sorta worked)
Initial 4-star review: At this price I didn't expect too much but it still brings me joy. I had a larger version of this when I was younger. This item does not come with a USB power supply but most people have those all over the place anyway. It can also take batteries. The photoshopped pictures make this item appear larger than it really is. The one image with measurements is inaccurate too. All of the measurements are a little less than what is stated. And the amount and appearance of the arcs of electricity are overstated in these pictures. There are only 4-5 electric tentacles at any given time when not touching it.Still a decent product for the current price of $19.Edit: changed from 4 stars to 1 star. I wrote the above the day I received the item. The next morning, the number of electric tentacles reduced from 4-5 to just 3. Then 2. Then 1. By the end of the day there were none, unless I touched the globe. I tried multiple USB power sources, and also batteries. All showed the same problem. I will be attempting to get a replacement for this item and will update this review if the replacement works reliably.Edit: changed from 1 to 3 stars. The seller reached out and agreed to send me another one at no cost, so plus 1 star for that. This second one has not failed completely (another +1 for that), but it is only showing 3 tentacles after a few days of use on USB power. If I rub the globe with my hand the activity and tentacle count increases, but that only lasts for a few seconds. My pictures make it look brighter than it really is. In the daylight, you can barely see anything at all. Not the greatest but it's cheap and can run on batteries.

Underwhelming.
Display photos are misleading as to its performance. Lights up but nothing near the brightness, color, or arcing activity shown in the pictures. Plugged in with the usb cable or with batteries only 4 arcs of lighting maximum. Build quality lacks as well, the glass globe on mine is seated crooked to the base. Spend more and go larger or be left unimpressed. That being said it is fascinating, transportable, and worked hence the 2 stars over 1. If I didn't value my time more than what this cost me it would be getting returned.

Tiny,affordable plasma ball
This is a tiny, miniature plasma ball.It works but, dont expect it to look like the larger ones popping with bright color and many plasma arcs.It does however work.It is cheaply made, obviously at this price but it is still cool and so far has been working well with no issues.Looks it's best in the dark.It can also run on batteries which I have not tested but the option is nice.If you are looking for a cheap, tiny plasma ball for your desk,a small shelf or decoration,it may be worth the purchase.I would recommend watching videos on this particular one to see if it's what you want first.

Small and cool
I've loved plasma balls since I was a child, and definitely wanted one... but I have limited space for things that just sit on a shelf. This little guy is small and easy to place, leaving me with a little bit of childhood nostalgia I can sit and enjoy. It's all plastic, so I have less chance of it breaking if one of the cats gets a visit from the bright idea fairy and pushes it down. The tendrils from the stuff inside respond to touch as expected. The only downside is you'll need an outlet or charger cube to run this, as it only comes with a USB to USB-C cable, or it can run on a couple batteries. That said, I am very satisfied with it.

Very Cool
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my daughter and she liked it very much. She loves using this as a stress reliever while doing her homework. Very good quality and works with 4 batteries the size of AAA.
