Very promising ingredients, takes time to prove itself, more fluid than other brands
Like many folks I’m very new to the shilajit game; I ordered this product because I was curious to see how it compares to another brand I tried recently.I carefully opened the jar when it first arrived and was blown away by how much better this smelled! The other brand must be processed very differently because the texture and flavor are very different from the Meideal brand. This shilajit is kind of like a thick gel - the other versions I’ve tried are far more solid.in my 50+ years, I have in fact consumed MANY things that are good for me (even though the taste is not to my liking) and lived to write this review. :o)• The glass jar is dark and heavy and it comes with a tiny wooden dosing stick. (That’s the one thing I preferred from the other brand - the utensil they provided is metal which I find easier to work with AND easier to clean).• The smell is pleasant enough, not as earthy or “smoky” as other brands. While this is never going replace Nutella, which I can consume via spoonful by the gallon, it’s definitely grown on me.• I do recommend diluting it in water (or whatever food/beverage you prefer).• I’ve given up worrying about the exact “dosage” and just dig out enough to fill the little scoop (or meet the printed dosage line).• It’s hard to get it off the utensil so I just put the whole thing in the bottom of my cup (another reason I prefer the metal version) and pour about 2-4 oz of boiling water on it.• Let it sit and dissolve then give it a good stir.• For what it’s worth, I actually rather like it - the taste has grown on me and I look forward to it each morning. Your mileage may vary, obviously! It’s hard to speak to the effectiveness because if it’s something you're already taking it’s hard to notice a difference in the way you look and/or feel. At the same time, if it’s new to you/your system, it usually takes a while for any real benefits to show up. It’s been about 3 weeks and I haven’t noticed a dramatic difference in the way I feel but if that changes as time goes by I’ll update my review accordingly.Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!

It does seem to have an effect on my energy and focus
I like this product, as I have read that it helps with metal toxins that can get in your brain from chem trails and other environmental factors. I have only been taking for about a week and can see a small difference in my focus and energy levels. I tasted it by itself and it is quite bitter, although tolerable. I put it in my coffee though as it camouflages the bitterness and melts it as well. It is a bit messy to deal with and the measuring spoon is a little lame as it isn't really a "spoon" and it isn't clear exactly how to measure. There are lines on a stick, but how thick should the dose be? It's hard to figure, so I just guess at it.

Never go wrong with shilajit resin...
A sticky, tar-like substance found primarily in the rocks of mountain ranges of the Himalayas, shilajit is a popular substance used in traditional Ayurvedic, Siddha and Tibetan medicine systems. Shilajit has an unusually rich mineral content and up to 20% concentration of fulvic acid, which is the natural byproduct of the breakdown of organic materials. Fulvic acid is believed to have powerful positive effects on the immune system, and to reduce oxidative stress linked to chronic inflammation.Shilajit is a fascinating substance formed over thousands of years from the decomposition of organic plant material crushed under layers of rocks. During warm summer months, shilajit is not as thick and flows out of rock layers sort of like sap flows from trees. It is then harvested and made into various dietary supplements in resin form, capsules, powders, extracts, or raw.Because there is no standard dosage recommended for shilajit, ayurvedic practitioners suggest "easing" into a shilajit routine and monitor your body's response. While generally recognized as safe with few side effects, some people have experienced low blood pressure, skin rashes, even more severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis have occurred. ALWAYS talk to an expert before using.I have been using shilajit resins, such as this one, for many months with no side effects. I put a small amount in my coffee every day and find it doesn't affect the flavor too much.

Excellent way to get trace minerals!
This is an easy quick way to get a dose of trace minerals. I have used this in the past, but the stick that came with it did not show how to get the correct amount. This one did have the stick so getting the correct amount is now easy. The product can be mixed in a hot drink, but I prefer to take it sublingual and then wash down with hot drink. I cannot say it tastes good, but it is not bad and easily tolerated.

Not Your Average Supplement
Reviewing supplements is difficult because so many of them have no noticeable effect on your mood, stamina, or vitality. That is not the case with this shilajit from Meideal. It’s hard to explain exactly what’s different, but I definitely feel more energized and focused. This was my first experience with this supplement, and I wasn’t sure the best way to take it. After mixing it in with a small bit of warm water, and trying it with tea, I decided the best method is straight off the serving stick onto the tongue. It’s quite bitter, but not overwhelmingly so. The aftertaste fades pretty quickly, especially if you drink something right after (even water). After trying all sorts of supplements, I have to say shilajit is one I plan to keep in the rotation.

Definitely Shilajit
I've taken Shilajit for a number of years ... it's a wonder supplement because of the minerals it contains and a definite recommendation for improving vitality. I generally take it straight if I can or in coffee.Shilajit taste can range significantly from very palatable (1) to extremely harsh (10). On a scale of 1 to 10, rank this as a 3 on taste ... not harsh but has a bitter aftertaste.
