Works well
I have a Klipsch iPad docking station, which works really well, but only with an iPad. The dockBoss has allowed me to play Spotify music from my Android phone and tablet through the Klipsch. I haven't noticed any deterioration in playback quality as a result of using the dockBoss.I actually like the shortish cable length as my Klipsch sits on a small unit and I don't want lots of spare cable lying around. The build quality seems good. The connection between the cable and the 30-pin connector might be a little flimsy, but it shouldn't get much wear and tear as I plan to leave the dockBoss connected to the Klipsch. The price feels a little high for what it is, however, I don't know what, if any, electronic wizardry is contained in the connector. Even at £20, it's worth it to give my Klipsch a new lease of life.I've knocked off a star because I haven't had the dockBoss long enough to assess its longevity, but I'd have no hesitation in recommending it at the moment.

Cable allows me to use my old docking station with any phone with a headphones socket
I bought this cable so that I could continue to use my Klipsch docking station after I replaced my iPhone 4 with a Galaxy S6. The cable works well. I did a comparison test with my iPhone 4 where I played a track with the phone docked and then played the same track again using the cable plugged into the iPhone's earphone socket. There was no perceptable loss of sound quality. When using the cable I have found that I need to set the headphone volume to max to achieve the best sound quality. If I connect the cable to the docking station before plugging the other end into the phone the docking station starts buzzing but it stops as soon as the phone is connected.Although I thought the cable was a bit pricey I'm very pleased with it because it works well and means that I can now use my faithful old docking station with any phone with a headphone socket

Didn't work for me
I have a BOSE Sounddock and wanted a cable so that I could play my TV through the speakers. The sounddock is an early version, possibly one of the first made by BOSE. The cable did not work - the sound of the TV was very faint (so at least I could tell that it was trying to work) BUT there was also a very, very lound interference hum. As an aside, my son has a new set of BOSE sounddock speakers with a 3.5mm input jack. The TV played find through those, so I am sure that it was either this lead or the combination of the lead and my Sounddock speakers that did not work.Amazon and Advanced MP3 Players get 5* for their service and agreeing to take the lead back for a full refund (I didn't even have to pay return postage). So if you think it may work for you, give it a go.The lead appeared well made. Others have commented that the wire is a bit short and ideally I would have liked it to have been longer. You can buy 3.5mm jack extensions for not very much money so that in itself is not a major problem.

FANTASTIC FOR MY BOSE SOUND DOCK AND Fiio X3.
I bought this adapter to connect my Fiio X3 to an original BOSE Sound dock (which does not have an Aux input like later versions). I ordered on Amazon Prime and it was delivered the next day. Having read negative reviews of cheaper versions of this kind of adaptor I thought it was worth paying extra for something that might actually work. I was not disappointed! The X3 has a line out port which works better than using headphone out when connected to my hi fi. (I really would recommend getting a Fiio or other player with a line out for best audio quality though headphone out does work.) It works just as well with my BOSE now. The DockBoss took seconds to fit and I was up and running. Delighted with this product. (I also liked CableJive's nice included note inviting customers to get in touch if they need help.)

Works perfectly
After trying a couple of the cheaper cables on eBay non of which worked reliably I bought this and it worked perfectly on my 1st gen sound dock, and there is no buzzing at all on mine. I have it connected to an airport express so I can airplay my music to it from any apple device. I also airplay the Audio from my Apple TV to it. Brilliant cable very well made. I took my sound dock apart and routed the cable internally and out the back to make it look nice and neat.My only single gripe is they don't offer it in white as I think 90% off all 1st gen sound docks are white

good but not perfect!
Great little device to ensure you can get more life out of your speaker dock (Bose etc). Made the move from ios to android and did think I might have to start again with my speakers. This device means I don't have to! As can be the case with connectors like this , you tend to get a bit of feedback whistle at higher volumes hence why I''ve dropped a star from the rating.

Shame the volume is limited.... Didn't ...
Shame the volume is limited.... Didn't realise and thought product did not work at first because I could not hear it. You need to turn the volume to Max on your source device.

Good product, contrary to the cheap counterparts
I bought this for an old white Bose dock and it works perfectly. The one without the aux in, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't need this. For those that say that there is a noise, you have to put whatever device you're connecting in the max output volume, then control the final volume with the dock. This is a basic thing when amplifying sound, the source has to be loud, otherwise you'll be amplifying the noise floor.Good product, contrary to the cheap counterparts, it works.
