Quality item. Does what it says on the tin. Don't bother with fancy electric grinder. We tried many. This is all you will ever need.

I have had and have several of these pepper mills. One survived having a loose wood screw that fell into the grinder and made grinding difficult. Tough machines. This one was a present for my younger daughter.

Very nice and well made....as always. Love that I can adjust the grinding degre. Only gave 4 stars because it was not filled with salt like described.

Pepper mills need to be tough. They need steel burrs to grind black peppercorns - and the central shaft needs to me made of steel too, otherwise after a year or so, they become rounded and stop working. Wasted a lot of money on them.This Peugeot mill costs a fraction more but actually is fit for purpose.

I bought this product only 5 months ago and unfortunately it seems it won't last very long. I didn't drop it or anything. I have no idea how it could get these cracks after such a little usage. I paid premium money to have a strong premium product, but this doesn't seem the case.

Really happy with this - feels solid and quality of manufacture is great. The adjuster at the bottom is really convenient, effective for different grind sizes and is easy to use. I wish I’d upgraded my pepper years ago.

After searching for "Best Pepper Mills" online, this came up as #1 on multiple sites and reviews.Reputation earned in my opinion.It is classy, easy to fill and easy to select the coarseness.There is also a discernable difference in the grinds, unlike some of the cheaper glass ones I had been using - that break due to the plastic in themIt is effortless to grind and consistently grinds easily and thouroughly.If you are a fresh cracked pepper fan, consider this - yes its more expensive than those $10 ones you see all over, but this one won't let you down - its a lifetime investment and worth more than they charge.

I very much like the adjustable feature, so much easier than the usual unscrewing of the top nut - everyone can easily set their favorite when they use it. Important to note that the mill mechanism here is stainless steel, treated for use with salt; apparently most salt mills have ceramic parts to avoid corrosive effects of salt - for this reason you are warned NOT to use any of the damp sea-salts (even if dried out), but only dry mineral salt (such as pink himalayan, etc).

What I like, is that this Peugeot Paris u'Select pepper mill (passion red, 18-cm or 7-inch) arrived in excellent condition, and it has functioned perfectly, since 11 November 2023. The stunning passion red color is gorgeous! By the way, my Peugeot pepper mill arrived without the Tan Hoi Vietnamese pepper, which is usually added to the Paris u'Select pepper mills, for final assembly and testing.A potential concern, is the possibility of the splitting of the bottom selector ring. Why is this a concern? A sizeable number of reviewers of other Peugeot Paris u'Select pepper mills (in natural wood, black, and blue colors) indicated that the wooden bottom selector ring had split open. The reported splitting occurred either before delivery or within two years of ownership.
