I have an absolute love of vanilla and have yet to find a tea that has enough vanilla in it for me no matter what reviews state. So when I opened the package and did not get a huge waft of vanilla, I expected another disappointment. While I like rooibos teas, I wanted the vanilla to shine. I never like when any tea requires cream or sugar to bring out a flavor, I want just straight hot tea, so my review is based on just the hot tea.Back to opening the bag... I noticed the bright blue specks and re-read the package to see cornflower petals are in it. Part of me expected the tea to have a hint of blue, but alas, it did not. I really do not understand the purpose of adding these in as the tea isn't an amazing blue and when you look at the used tea leaves, you no longer see the bright blue. This tea is easy to make, recommended water temp is boiling water and a quick steep of 3 minutes, and voila, tea (pic is about halfway through steeping). Upon tasting, I got vanilla and the more I drank, the stronger the flavor got. After I finished the cup, I realized why as the vanilla lingered longer than most toothpastes will! I hope the entire bag is like this as it's almost enough vanilla for my tastes, finally!

There seems to be a good mix of rooibos and vanilla, but what catches the eye are the blue cornflower petals. After brewing I could not taste the vanilla in the tea until I added a teaspoon of sugar. That brought out the flavor. The leaves are small enough that this requires either a very fine tea strainer for brewing or a fine strainer to remove the leaves afterward. See photos.

This Vanilla Rooibos Tea has a smooth and mild vanilla bean flavor. The flavor leaves a very pleasant aftertaste on the tongue. The tea is not bitter. Per the instructions, I used 1 tsp. for each 8 oz. of boiling water. The tea is very fine. I had to strain the tea through a coffee filter to remove the loose tea from the liquid since I use a tea ball and not a tea strainer when brewing my teas. I added 3 packets of equal sweeteners to my 24 oz. cup of tea. The tea is decaffeinated which is nice to have on hand for evening tea when you may not wish to consume caffeine in the evening. I will definitely add this tea to my future purchases of tea.

Sou Zen Vanilla Rooibos Tea comes in a resealable 4oz pouch which keeps the loose-leaf tea fresh. This is a beautiful organic tea. Brewing it up, the vanilla aroma is subtle. The rooibos itself has that earthy, slightly sweet base, and the vanilla is light. I usually add a touch of honey to all teas, and I added a bit more to get this to where I liked it, but it's definitely enjoyable on its own too. This tea is perfect for winding down after a long day. It's caffeine free, so I can sip it guilt free before bed and still drift off easily. I like it, my wife loves it!

This is a nice tea to have on offer for guests or to enjoy on your own. It has a mild and pleasant vanilla taste. I was able to get two brews out of the same tea pouch. The tea comes with instructions for optimal brewing and can be stored in its ziplocked pouch. I would purchase again in the future.

Earthy rooibos loose leaf tea delivers a nice brew. 4oz bag priced somewhat high compared to others. Flavor is nice and mellow. Just one teaspoon for 8 oz of water.

I immediately noticed just how vibrant the rooibos and cornflower petals were when I opened this bag! Usually I don't describe tea as beautiful, but this one is. I'm already a fan of vanilla rooibos, and this one didn't disappoint. I add milk and sugar. I like that it's decaffeinated so I can drink it at night with less worrying about staying up late.

I love this tea at any time of day, but especially in evenings when I like a nice hot drink but don’t want to be awake all night. This is naturally decaffeinated and tastes great. It has a heavenly vanilla scent and tastes especially good with a little almond milk. Good value, use a fine mesh tea ball or a disposable tea bag.
