It was easy to put together.. Built well. Looks good. Instructions are basic and need a little work 🤣. Overall wife is happy.

I bought 2 of these to set up my new hives. They came with a deep and medium box along with top and bottom. I don’t have the excluder in use yet, but did get those and entrance reducers.Boxes, frames, and foundation went together pretty good. I did have to tap the boxes, but I like the tighter fit. Use glue and it should stay put. The set up is 2 deeps on the one hive. I used those and purchased another deep for the other hive, but you’ll get a deep box and a medium box. The price was around $115 at the time I bought them. As long as it’s around there, they are a good bargain although I will have to think about better waterproofing in the future. For now, I put some old roof pieces over them to keep more rain away.Bees are happy and building away!

This was fun to assemble. All the parts fit well and it was well made. I'm happy with the result. After a lot of deliberation on what to finish it with, I chose tung oil. If I were ordering another, I would probably just get the beeswax coated version.

As far as cheap, probably-made-in-china beehive kits go, you could definitely buy worse. The pieces came packed nicely. They actually smell like cedar. The pre-drilled holes with space for the screw heads to sit flush with the wood are a nice touch. The actual pieces fitted together easily for me after equalizing for 24 hours (you're supposed to do this with all new woodenware - just separate the pieces and let them sit for a day before assembling, you'll be amazed at how much easier your boxes come together). I only had to use a mallet on one joint.My only complaint is that the little bag of hardware only contains enough screws to assemble two medium boxes, not a medium and a large. It's missing 8 screws. Inconvenient, but not the end of the world. That's why this recipe is 4 stars instead of 5.

This hive is holding up incredibly well and is a great value for the price. I was worried that at this price point I was going to get something poorly made, but this is a quality hive. I will definitely be purchasing a few more to add to my growing apiary.

good basic hive but the joints were very sloppy and just dropped in without even pushing. if not for the screws it would have fallen appart with just a touch.
