Scarecrow

I bought this book to read aloud to my Kindergartners during Scarecrow week. At first, I was worried that some of the flowery prose would confuse them, but I quickly realized the illustrations allowed them to understand the gist of the story, even if some of the imagery was lost on my lower ones. I was so impressed with this text that I shared it with a co-teacher in 4th grade. This is just one of those rare text finds that can a classroom read aloud at all grade levels. I love it!

This is a great story that teaches empathy and makes it easier for my younger students to understand.

Aww, this is such a cute little book for kiddies. The repetition of words and phrases makes it all the more exciting!

I would enjoy this book even more if I was able to download the book to my kindle cloud reader. I purchased the book via Kindle because I was in need of this title for a reading lesson and did not have the time to wait for postal arrival. If I was aware this book would only to download via kindle app I would have chosen a different book. If possible, Amazon Kindle..please speak with the publisher to allow this title to be uploaded to Kindle Cloud reader..I cant do a real aloud with my students via app on a cell phone or similar device. Thank you

This was a short book, but we bought it for my nephew because he loves scarecrows. The illustrations are cute and the story is very adorable.

The illustrations are exquisite. The story is okay. Not a “can’t-live-without” book.
