Took this out for the first outing a few days ago and found it straightforward to use. The quality of the fittings and the webbing are good. They gave me a courtesy contact through Amazon to check that everything was alright with the product or whether I needed further instructions as how to use it. I mentioned that the awning I have was the 4200 Thule omnistor and that the fitting for the top of the support pole would not go all the way through. I said that I would be able to file it down to make it work. Without asking they offered a discount for my inconvenience. Thank you to Lily and the team.

Everything seems really well made and I don't doubt the strength of the components, but it simply doesn't fit the Omnistor 5200 as claimed.Update: I have been contacted by the seller and advised to "try filing down both sides of the hook to facilitate hanging" for a 5-10% discount. Quality control clearly appears to be an issue.

This took a bit of fiddling to get it to latch properly into the top of the leg, but once we managed it, it seems to be a secure connection. It's very easy to set up and tension correctly. The parts all seem well made and strong enough for the job. The bag to keep everything together nice and neatly is helpful. These awnings are great, but concerning when there is a stiff breeze which can spring up any time, so this adds the peace of mind that the awning won't get damaged.
