DAXHigh Life Voodoo Island Pomade (99g)

Firstly, I drew the short straw when it came to hair. It's very thin and therefore best kept short. It naturally sticks flat to my head so it takes a very good product to work effectively.This stuff literally didn't even get things off the ground, as in it wasn't able to to get my fringe to stick up. Just the odd bit of hair in the air for a an hour or so, then later my entire hair was as it was when I wake up. To make matters worse, it also made my hair look very greasy, basically like I hadn't showered in days so actually significantly worse than when I wake up.The only thing half decent is the scent, which it accurately describes as being like a pina colada. That's subjective of course but I've smelt a lot worse. All in all:Hold: 0/5Look: 0/5Scent: 3/5Value: 0/5If you have dreamy hair who knows but this is certainly not for short, thin, messy look styles. Ask yourself, if a product describes it's self as 'medium' hold, realistically how strong do you think the hold will actually be?

I adore this pomade. It is a medium hold. and to be honest, it is not strong enough on its own to tame my hair. So i use a heavier product (such as High Life Heavy) to give my hair body and hold, but i always use voodoo island as a topper.- Design/Appearance/Colour - 5/5 - The tin design is simple, yet very cool and appealing. Great name, and colour scheme. The actual pomade is the same colour. Vibrant, unique and exciting.- Scent - 5/5 - Hands down, my all time favourite scent. I literally open this up to smell it every time i go into the bathroom. Its a fruity pina-colada fragrance. The scent will last all day.- Application - 5/5 - Very soft and easy to rub into your hands and through your hair. Combs very easily.- Hold and Styling - 3/5 - This only gets a lower mark as its just not strong enough on it's own. However, if your hair is less thick than mine, you might just be okay with this alone. However, it makes a very good topper in my case. It is light in weight, and gives a lovely greasy shine.Overall - 18/20 - Highly recommended to any true pomade lovers. Also a very good starting point for anyone totally new to oil based pomade.

Great pomade. Smells amazing and works well to create great styles. DOESNT wash out easily but this is typical of wax/oil based pomades.

A perfect pomade for the summer. First off the scent is so good! That and the colour are the first things you notice. This is a medium hold oil based pomade but it held my hair as good as some of the other stronger hold pomades without the mad stiffness you get from some. It took me a couple of shampoos to get out but overall it was worth it. My hair felt pretty nice once it was washed out maybe the oil i guess. The hold was good and firm but flexible as it doesn't seem to set hard. Definitely one i will be keeping in my arsenal of pomades. Did i mention it smells great?
