I was a little hesitant to spend the money on a toy that I was not sure my kitties would be interested in for more than a few minutes, but I was so wrong. It's amused my two boys for almost 3 hours straight now. It corrects itself when it gets into a tight spot and goes pretty fast. The lights are honestly fun to watch for me too. Great product for indoor cats!

Kitty loves it! It hasn't lasted as long as others have, however, kitty does try to snuggle with this one.

My cat is in LOVE with this thing. I am Recommending it to all of my friends. It has kept her entertained for the last 30 minutes and that is a big achievement considering I was Cooking and food was within her sight!

TLDR: Pros - Very well built and durable. Lasts a long time on a single charge. Tons of fun for the cats. Easy set up and operation. Rechargeable. Corrects itself. Cons - Price point is a bit too high. Will not work on most carpets.Firstly - this does NOT work on carpets. That was the biggest bummer for me as my house is mostly carpet. I nearly returned it because of this; however, it's a very entertaining toy for the cats. It feels solid and can take a beating. I let it loose in my bathroom and it smacked into just about everything, but got right back up. If it gets knocked sideways, and it will a lot, it corrects itself and carries on. My cats regularly get "sauna" treatments in the bathroom for their chronic upper respiratory issues and they easily get bored. Since my bathroom is a decent size, I decided to try it in there while they get their steam treatment. The cats interacted with it almost immediately. The antennae light up while it darts around and you can change the speed with the small button on the snail. While the lights act as an attractant for the cat, it also signals the speed settings and power status for the operator. It has an auto-pause feature if it sits untouched for a short period of time. Once it gets touched, or smacked, by a cat it reactivates and starts zipping around again. I can't say for certain how long the battery lasts in between charges, but my cats played with it off/on for a good 30 minutes and I haven't noticed a drop in charge. Worth ~$30? Eh, I'm on the fence with that.

I have two older cats that have not been interested in boring single dimensional cat toys for a long time. I have been looking for an intelligent toy that will engage them for more than a few minutes. When I watched a few videos of this toy, I thought I would give it a try.The snail is relatively small and easy to setup. I appreciated the small size of the toy especially compared to the larger “smart” toys I have. One really slick feature this snail has is its ability stand up on its own when it is knocked over. This is a very impressive feature.Unfortunately, like all other “smart” toys I have seen, it is quite dumb. It rolls blindly into whatever is in front of it. Watching it bang into walls in the hallway and tip over on its side over and over is not amusing. I really wish these toys can actually be smart and see where it is going.The cats watched it bumble around and when it managed to get into another room, they followed. Unfortunately, after a few swats, they were done with it. The snail getting stuck on all but low pile area rugs and things it can roll under is annoying.If your cat is young and will chase anything, this toy will be fun. Otherwise, it is a yawner.

I really enjoy that it can figure out its way from being stuck.

OMG...THIS TOY IS THE BEST!! Our kitten stays busy w/her snail & leaves our elderly cat alone. Such an excellent tot!
