The screw goes through the unthreaded hole on the router and into the threaded hole of the bracket. This causes the bracket to basically clamp to the router. Does exactly what I wanted. It's thing metal, but it also isn't expected to hold much weight. I like the design that the brackets can either be for one to four devices and the parts are part of the bracket, just need to pop them out if needed. Loose bracket, flawed design even for its targeted device
Wobbly super loose bracket made for its specific router, just redicilous. I lost all faith in mikrotik brand altogether, low quality hardware and they are a pain to configure.

Ridiculous price.
MSRP on these are $7. Resellers charging over $30, or $30 for shipping on small pieces that fit in an envelope is absolutely absurd.

Bad design
Just a really bad design, does not allow for tight and secure mounting, it is loose after attaching it to the router.

Solid, no-fuss rack mount kit for the RB5009
Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Fits the RB5009UG+S+IN properly and let me rack-mount it cleanly in my home server rack. Feels sturdy, holds the router securely, and installation was straightforward.

Easy and solid allows for expansion
As described, easy to use and quite solid. Just ensure you have the correct hex size for the screw on hand.

Bad delivery
The product is good, but it arrived through PAACK, a non-reliable delivery company. It took several weeks after the estimated delivery time when I purchased it.

Fonctionnel mais manque de rigidité
Acheté pour racker un routeur RB5009UPR+S+in dans une baie 19". Le kit à l'avantage d'être très polyvalent (montage d'1 à 4 routeurs ou switchs) mais il manque de rigidité pour le montage d'un seul équipement. Le routeur s'enfonce lorsque l'on branche les câbles. Je vais devoir réaliser mon propre kit avec un bout de tôle.
