It was what was described however it is far too difficult for someone who no longer has good eyes. Much too intricate. I regret purchasing it and don't know what I will do with.

The media could not be loaded.  The concept made sense to me and I hoped it would help me learn to shade things better. I prefer to color for realism and the reference images made me be believe I could improve my skills. Unfortunately, that did not happen.First off, the paper is not that good. My markers bled through the backside. The paper is rough and colored pencils leave that texture that you get with bad paper. (I have not blended my pencils in the picture yet, so that would help a bit, but not much).The images are all fantasy...ranging from dragons to steampunk to outer space, cities to gardens to robots.The pictures you're suppose to use as reference are not clear and sharp. The reference images are larger than the coloring side so edges of things in the reference photo are cut off in the coloring side.My first issue came within one minute of trying to use this book. I looked at the reference photo and decided to start with the purple area of "space." But I couldn't tell, and there is no reference that says, how many shades of purple to use. I pulled four shades but then couldn't tell the difference in the shading in the lines....they all looked like the same shade of purple. It is all but impossible to tell the various colors apart from the lines.I've tried to show you photo's of areas of reference image versus coloring image...can you tell the various shades apart??? You can tell what's suppose to be green versus red, but it is very, very, hard to tell all the various shades of black, blue, brown, etc. from one another.I continued trying to color the "purple space" but the bad paper meant I couldn't get deep rich colors, my markers were bleeding through (which is an issue as they would bleed through the reference image on the back of that page ruining it). But even with a black pencil you can still see all those reference lines which reminded me of a really bad paint by numbers kit.I gave up within 15 minutes! The concept was not working, the pencils were too light and rough on the paper, and I hated seeing all those lines. I'm returning it.

I was hoping for a better way to outline but it’s tinted for you and you have black outline shapes. It’s not a color by number or anything but still cute

I found coloring by lines a lot more relaxing than I ever thought it would be! I also like how you can use fine tip markers or colored pencils on the sheets.

I thought the idea for this coloring book was amazing, however, it's hard to differentiate the colors after you color for a while because the lines get a bit hard to find.

I love the book, first off, but when I saw beginner I thought it was going to be very beginner and I was nervous as I perused the pages. I began working on the first page and I am kicking myself for not trying this type of coloring book out in the first place. I am absolutely in love.

just an amazing adult coloring book & very therapeutic! relaxes your mind & keeps you distracted for hours! has gorgeous coloring pages in it. definitely recommend purchasing!

First of all the paper is not good. My pencils didn't like the paper, frustrating! As for the pictures (lines to color in) what a disappointment. They are mostly fantasy and not a fun choice.. really. As for coloring in THE LINES... absolutely disappointed and so stupid my pencils couldnt fit in the lines. They are far too many to be a fun experience. Doesn't tell you how many shades of purple or pink ect... to use. I had to think way too hard for this to be enjoyable. IT WAS ACTUALLY STRESSFUL TO ME TO TRY TO MAKE A DECENT PICTURE ‼️Sending back... not my kind of coloring fun. 😡☹️❌❌🚫🚫❕✖️🗑️👎
