It's pretty much a phone+.
In all actuality, this is pretty much a cell phone, with a built in printer / scanner.I thought I'd give you all the details missing in the product description.Resolution: 1440x720 240ppi (the screen is really nice, btw, very bright with excellent color reproduction).Camera: 5MPCPU: SC9863A @ 1.6 Ghz. It is an 8 core cpu built on a 28nm process. 4 cores are "performance cores" and run at the full 1.6 Ghz. 4 cores are "economy cores" and run at 1.2 Ghz. It uses a PowerVR GE8322 GPU.Android: 12According to the device info, it has 2 SIM card slots (neither occupied atm). That's what's "under the hood", so to speak. The device itself is pretty nice, though I wouldn't call it "industrial". Fairly well made, but something you don't want to drop too often. If at all.Note to Symcode: If you market a silicone rubber armored case for this, people would buy it. I would. The overall build and the functionality of it is well executed. The paper loading process is painless and simple, and once you figure out how the door latches closed again, it's practically effortless. Also, their installed software list wasn't quite accurate. Their list: " Shopify, Google Chrome, PDF, Loyverse, iREAP, and Kyte"I found installed:e-Boleta (something about electronic sales and service tickets, 100% in Spanish)MdmService (a device management app)NyxScannerServicePosTestI did NOT find Shopify.I did NOT find iREAP.I did NOT find Kyte.If you get this and go looking for those particular apps, know that they didn't come installed on mine and if you need them you will have to install them from the Play Store after connecting to wifi.It would be nice if the manufacturer could get the installed software list correct so people don't get confused looking for things that aren't there.Overall, it's a great device that will help a lot with our inventory. But the installed software list isn't accurate, so be prepared to add or remove programs / apps that you need or don't need. Would be nice if it came with (or even if I could buy) an armored case for this to protect against accidental drops.
