This is an absolutely amazing winter coat for my Shih Tzu. I purchased a small for her. The quality and is constriction is bar none. The exterior material is water resistant. The material at the neck can be folded over, like a turtleneck, or remain as is. The fleece lining at the neck, is wonderful. The snow suit will keep her neck, chest, abdomen and legs very warm. Due to its outstanding construction, there is zero concern that the jacket would become soiled when she is going potty. It is so puffy and covers so much of her body that when I first put it on her, she literally stood still not knowing what to do. It kind of reminded me of the movie, “A Christmas Story,” when Ralphie’s brother had so many snow clothes on that when he fell down, he couldn’t get back up without help.The only problem is that the openings for the legs are too wide. Therefore, she steps out of the back legs when walking. This is such an incredible coat for very cold days and the quality of the material and workmanship is so exceptional that I am taking my dog and her new snow suit to the tailor to address this issue. I have never seen any type of dog clothing of this quality. It is well worth the price. I know I will probably spend the same amount, if I’m lucky, having it tailored, but it is that great of a product that I am willing to do so.

The media could not be loaded.  This coat fits perfectly and looks great! I love the harness piece on the top. My dog is about 18 pounds and it fits her perfectly. Its very warm and fuzzy on the inside and the outside material feels like it's good quality and durable. My dog is old and doesn't pull at all so the harness part is perfect for her. If your dog pulls a lot I wouldn't recommend using it as the main method of walking them.Where we are temperatures can get down to -18 F in the winter and we can get a good 2 or 3 feet of snow. I'll be pairing it with the suspender boots from Canada pooch to keep her cozy and hopefully keep the snow out!

Received this coat/snow suit today and put it to the test. My dog is is a 17 lb. schnoodle with measurements close to what is specified for size medium, and this size fits her perfectly. We headed out into the snow for a walk and it kept her warm and dry, except for her lower legs and feet that weren’t covered. She didn’t have any trouble walking while wearing it, either. I attached her leash to the D-rings on the back and they appear to be pretty sturdy compared to ones on other coats she’s had. But time will tell how well their sewn attachment points hold up over time, since she does pull on leash sometimes. Overall, it seems to be well made.

I like these. They are pretty good for the money. They fit great. Usually it is hard to find any kind of clothes for my dog. He has long, slender body with big chest, long legs... Usually everything fits super weird and it's not doable. Well, this is, and it fits great. It seems warm and comfy. He doesn't complain. ;) ( Not sure if windproof, though. ) Washes nicely ( I wash them weekly, or even more often if needed ). I don't use those double D rings, though, the harness-like feature for the leash as I don't use harness at all. So I don't know about those, but they seem pretty weak and poorly made, and I wouldn't dare using them for that if you have a big, strong dog. Maybe only for the smaller ones?What I don't like the most is that these are absolutely NOT waterproof! Not even water resistant or repellent! So, that's a pain. They are only for dry water. If it rains, even drizzles, it will soak right into the coat and it will be soaked wet in no time.We like them enough to have a few of these in different colors for the winter. We just use something else for wet weather.EDIT: The black one is definitely smaller than the other colors in the same size ( XXL )! Gave them two chances, from two different sellers. But as I suspected, it has to be the same manufacturer. And they screwed it! They are so small! Such a shame. I like the color. And considering there is no larger size, we can't just size up. Which I'd recommend! Size up if you're getting the black one!

I have a 22 pound Australian shepherd, and she needed a medium, and it barely fits her.I have a 33 pound Bernese mountain dog and ordered a large and it doesn’t fit at all. I can’t even zipper the zipper. This product is absolutely excellent quality, very very nice… The only problem is it runs very small. I can’t believe I’m going to have to return the large and get an extra large for my little 33 pound puppy. The concept is great. It’s really a nice product.

The media could not be loaded.  This coat is perfect for a hairless dog. It keeps mine warm and cozy. It's nice and thick (but not so much that she can't move), with a fleece-like interior and a water-repellent exterior. She has no problem running around in this and is comfortable outside in the cold for long walks and runs. Here is a trick for getting the coat on the dog. The zip-up is on the top, so you have to get all four feet in before you can zip... what we have found is that if we get either the front 2 or the back 2 legs in, then we can attach the buckle to hold the coat in place while we get everything else done. Also, she is about 19 pounds and we got a Medium.

I have been searching for a heavy duty coat for my baby for a year, but have had trouble finding one that fits her properly. We live in Illinois and have horribly cold winters. Living in an apartment, I have to walk my girl on a leash and she’s one that likes to take her time sniffing every blade of grass before doing her duty. This coat is super warm with the heavy fleece and covers everything (legs, belly, etc.) It’s also easy to put on and she seems comfortable in it! I would highly recommend this coat to anyone who has a pup that has to be out in cold weather!! It’s great!

I purchased a size medium and her weight is 17 pounds. The jacket fit perfectly.

Good product

We just received it so I can't speak much about the warmth yet. My 52 lb American Staffordshire Princess has really shirt fur so she needs something warm. It is nicely lined with a soft, plush fleece and the outer shell is fairly thick so hopefully we'll be good for colder days. I attached pictures for reference since I originally ordered the next size XXL up based on other reviews indicating it runs small. That was not my experience. I attached a photo in the XXL from the back as an example. It is much bigger. The other photos are of the XL and the fit is as per the size chart. I also put a photo of my dog without the suit so you can get an idea of her size and build. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I find the legs to be unnecessarily wide and a bit shorter than I would have preferred but it's not a reason for me to return the suit. Now we just need to test it out. Hope this review was helpful for others to select a size for their own fur baby. Her measurements are neck 17 1/2", chest 26" and back 20".

Originally bought XXL for my 40 lbs Staffie x. No issues returning, and XL fits her perfectly! Looks just like photo.
