I got this to use on a conduit body I was installing. Several months later, it's still sealing well and still flexible. I've found other uses for it: sealing small holes in the wall, around cables, etc.

I purchased this for some small gaps I had on exterior entrance points.Specifically for the electrical connection on the shed. I try and close up any gaps to keep pests (insect or rodent) out of the home or the shed.This stuff is very malleable and you can really shape it well to fit most small to medium sized gaps.It is pretty sticky. Think of it like a cross between sillypuddy and play dough. It does leave a film on your hands but it doesn’t last long and is easily washed off.It has a paper backing that would allow you to remove the whole brick and place it on a surface and prevent it from sticking to that surface at all. It can be a chore to peel it off though.A little goes a long way. So try small amounts and work up to the size you need.One suggestion I have is to try and clean the area you’re going to apply the stuff. Dirt, debris, sand etc will all make it hard for this to fit and stick where you want it.I’m happy with with my purchase and would buy more again when I need it.

I've run a few CAT6 cables between floors in my home and I wanted to minimize/stop 2 things: air flow though the holes, mouse access. I live in a stone basement home so no keeping the mice out of my basement!This duct seal compound is like soft modeling clay but quite sticky. It is easy to use filling small (sub-1inch holes with wires). I also used it to fill the gap around some water pipes going up into the house from the basement. I'd say it does not take a lot to seal a gap so no need to go crazy stuffing an opening.It's been a couple of months and the mice are in their spring active time so I went down and looked at the putty to see if the mice are trying to dig through. Not at all! The mice don't seem to like this stuff: good.This sealer "clay" works really well for me, is easy to apply and I'm especially pleased that the mice are leaving it alone. That adds up to 5 stars for me.

Heavy, malleable putty.I tore off pieces and used them to seal chinks outside around pipes that go through my home siding. The material seems to hold up well through high and low temps (mid-Atlantic area) without cracking or coming apart (yet). It remains shape-able long after it's first opened (doesn't dry out quickly). I opened my 1-lb block 2.5 years ago, stored the leftover in a zip-lock bag, and was still able to use it this week. It tore, shaped, and stuck to the siding just as well as when it was fresh.Note whatever black magic makes this stuff stay flexible for so long is probably not something you want on your skin. Especially when the block was new, it left a greasy residue on my gloves. Make sure to wear impermeable gloves when shaping this stuff.Recommended for filling those odd-sized gaps that are too large for caulking.

Unused this for mounting a sonar transducer in my kayak and it worked perfectly. Sonar now sits securely in this putty and I didn’t have to cut through the hull.

Perfect for use as a quiet backstop for my air rifle. It doesn't dry out and it doesn't go gooey in the heat it just stays the same consistency and absorbs impacts perfectly. Highly recommended for air rifles.

Used for attaching a transducer to a fishing kayak. Took an age to find this stuff for sale in the UK but it does the job brilliantly.
