We've just taken our old padded 1990s weighing scales and sent them to the charity shop- not just obsolete, but out evolved. These Bison body scales are the equivalent of a swiss-army knife, not just showing your weight (which would be an under utilisation of value at this price) but when worked with the paired app gives you more than you possibly wanted to know about where the body fat is, but how much is there- there is a small connected haptic rod which you hold to give input for cross-body fat, not just through your feet as in many others.The construction quality is excellent, sturdy, thin, stylishly understated cosmetically and glossy, The app itself has some difficulties to connect, but once set up worked fine after that, it can be set for multiple users and will track progress/ results over time.Many features we haven't yet really explored are not only mass but other elements such as bone density and protein levels may be identified, we don't know very much about this so avoid commenting until we know more - the last time I had such a complete report on my body condition, I had to pay for it,, and whilst I don't plan to live my life through its' measures, it does inform me on the need to do more and where to focus to get better health. Heartily recommend this scale- it's tells your weight well also!

There is nothing wrong (so far) with the scale itself. It has worked as expected BUT the companion app is not working as expected. I'm a multi-person household, not being able to have more than one person registered to use the scale is a BIG letdown.I sent an email to the app developers. Let's see if they respond

These are excellent ‘bathroom scales’, and ones that go way beyond most ‘smart scales’ They are ideally suited for the serious fitness enthusiast. We already use smart scales, they’re excellent, but if I’m honest, I’m only really interested in weight recording / monitoring. My daughter however, is a real fitness enthusiast, and regularly runs Marathons, and so these are for her. These are ‘smart’ (with knobs on!), and connect to you phone via Bluetooth. They’re very well-made, and actually look nice too, sleek and stylish. Quality is excellent, with very clear, easy to read, LCD display. The scales can support up to 24 x different users, more than enough for even the largest family!Often, bathroom scales are made from enamelled metal, with a textured plastic, rubbery base that whilst may look nice for a while, will start to bubble / corrode around the edges etc. The finish with these scales is way better, strong flat tempered glass – meaning only an occasional wipe should be needed to keep clean. However, the finish being black, does show up finger marks etc!Many similar bathroom scales only measure in Kilogrammes or pounds, but not stones and pounds. This does all three, simply set the unit you wish to use, which makes a nice change. Although very comfortable with metric measurement, particularly since I’m an Electrical Engineer, I do prefer body weight to be in stones and pounds, height, feet and inches. With this, as noted, you have a full choice of settings.Set-up was really easy, and very intuitive, once you’ve downloaded the app. Bluetooth connection was simple via the app (IOS or Android), and as noted, setting change to suit, really easy. The scales use 4 x AAA batteries (included). These are by far the most comprehensive scales of this type I’ve ever seen, with pretty much everything you can think of (and a whole load more on top!) covered. You do need to take a little time to get to know and understand the scales, and to get the best out of the app, but it is worth it. As already noted, these are for serious fitness enthusiasts, if you don’t fall in to that category, these will realistically be overkill. Make no mistake, this is a serious bit of kit!To summarise, these are top quality, VERY sophisticated and feature-rich ‘smart’ scales with a smart, contemporary look. They perform exactly as they should. These scales, when you consider the features and function (included voice prompts) are super value, and definitely recommended.I hope that you have found this review helpful.

A very well made product but spent a lot of time trying to connect to wi fi but still not managed it.

The shining scale looks stylish and attractive. Its body seems strong and durable. Equipped with 8 high-sensitivity sensors, it produces a measurement matrix containing 29 parameters. These parameters are important to you if your body is experiencing a considerable change such as losing weight. I am now on a fitness programme. The body scale is just what I need. Based on the data from the scale, I adjust my fitting activities to balance the muscle changes in different parts of my body. Before the scale can be used, an App needs to be installed. The App can be downloaded by scanning the QR code in the installation guide. Setting up is straightforward. To get an accurate measurement, four electrodes on the hand bar need fully covered by the correct fingers. The hand bar needs to be kept in a proper position. Clear instruction is prompted once you stand on the scale. The basic measurements such as weight and body fat from this scale agree well with the values from my old scale which has only 4 electrodes. This new scale is more expensive, but it provides the information I need. It would be perfect if this scale is rechargeable rather than battery-powered. This is not a big problem though.

Does everything it's supposed to and very informative

Por el precio de la bascula la verdad es que lo vale, le pregunté a mi nutrióloga sobre cual de las básculas qué hay en el mercado era buena opción de compra y me recomendó esta por su calidad, precio y por la facilidad de llevar los registros en la app para un buen seguimiento y lo mejor es que ya tenga las baterías incluídas.

Satisfecho por la compra, quizá debería de mejorar la app que está ligada para las lecturas corporales, pero sin queja alguna.

Use this scale to develop a general overview but don't take each individual reading to heart. The consistency between each reading is not always the most accurate but as an overall trend tracker, it will work fine. I say this for two main reasons.1. I have it flat on the floor next to another digital scale from a different brand that I know is reasonably accurate and the Bisonbody scale initially read about 2 - 2.5 lbs more than my other scale for both myself and my spouse (used on different days). I have since used it several times over the past few weeks and how much it is different changes. A few times the measurements were perfectly in line with the other one, other times they are just about 0.2 - 0.5 lbs more, and other times they are back to that 2 - 2.5 lbs more range.2. For the body metrics beyond weight (which my other scale doesn't do), there also is occasional inconsistency. As an average, my body fat percentage is around 25% according to those readings, which puts me within average for my age range (according to NASM, ACE, and a few other fitness organizations). However, one day, my body fat percentage measured randomly at 18%. I even re-did it right after because it didn't make sense for that to change that much in two (2) days and maybe I was standing on or holding the sensors incorrectly, but it still came up 18% no matter how many times I re-did it that day. Then when I did took my measurements again two days later, it was back in the 25% range.So I use the scale and measurements to get an overall loose picture of what's going on with me, but I don't take to heart minor (or major) changes until those changes are shown consistently over several different spaced out readings, because the precision of each measurement isn't always the greatest. The accuracy (at least thus far), seem to be okay.For the functionality of the app. It's a pain in the butt to set up (keep taping the scale to keep it on) while you input your data (not sure why it asked for weight when it immediately overwrites it when you do you first reading), but once it is set up, I do like that I don't have to turn on bluetooth and connect my phone to the scale for every reading. In the app, switching between people is not too difficult once you get it set up, but be sure you claim their measurements correctly when it syncs up. I imagine with more than two people this would get challenging. Prob still doable, but more obnoxious.As a whole, I'm happy with this scale and it's ability to take different health measurements. Just remember, like any type of data collection, you should focus on the overall pattern that is being shown and ignore the data points as individuals because an individual data point might be an anomaly or simply an outlier.

I was a but intimidated by this scale but it was very easy to set up. Directions made sense and were easy to follow. The reading is accurate. It connected to my (android) phone no problem. It's very heavy, and appeared to be quality. I also like the sleek appearance, I feel like a pro using it and having it in my bathroom. I'm even down 5 lbs since starting to use it.
