My daughter’s OEM was completely worn-out, this was the best option other than giving north of £200 to main dealer.Outer Finish: Quite good, snaps together OK. Plastic feels harder and slightly lower quality than the OEM, but not by much. When assembled both buttons work as they should.Interior Fit: Poor, the locating pins for the circuit board are too far apart, you need to trim one pin to seat the board flush [see photo], forcing it will likely break the board. If you watch their video you will see they don’t actually show the circuit board fitted.Transponder Location: Doesn’t sit as tightly compared to the OEM, however it works fine.Also, The OEM uses a rubber gasket to protect the circuit board from water, this one doesn’t.Key-Blade: The part that pivots is narrower than OEM so you can’t just swap one for the other – you have to use the supplied blank [this may or may not be a problem but if it had been designed to take the OEM key-blade it would have been much better, quicker and cheaper option].Note: Comes with a VW/Audi/Porsche HU66 key-style blank – check before ordering as the vendor doesn’t provide this information and many of the vehicles they do list come with different types/codes.If you are happy to fiddle to make this fit/work you will save a lot of money, but not recommended if you are expecting an easy swap and/or don’t like correcting manufacturing deficiencies.
