Italic Handwriting Series Book D

Awesome curriculum!

I hate cursive. It makes my brain HURT!My just turned 11yo daughter has beautiful penmanship that is LEGIBLE! She continues getting more and more efficient with her handwriting. I see her breazing through speed-of-light college lectures and her classmates wondering how she does it without catching the paper on fire! Of course, by then she'll probably be typing her notes which she's currently working on. I recommend Sponge Bob!If you love your child, you'll choose this for them and all the people that read their handwriting will thank you for it.

I had both my boys use this program and told them after book D they could develop their own style of writing as along as it is neat and readable. It has worked well so far. I like the italic method over cursive although there are those who say kids won't be able to read cursive...haven't found that to be a problem yet and am not worried in this computer age. Would recommend this program to adults and kids.

We love these workbooks. I have used them with my kids since we started homeschooling six years ago. My children now have gorgeous handwriting; I wish I had learned to write this way. I have used these books and exercises to improve my own handwriting and it has helped me too.I don't bother with the teacher's manuals or any of the other supplies. We just use the workbooks and highly recommend them.

We love this series. The changes from manuscript to cursive are minimal and it sets them up for great success with calligraphy. My kids all started with Italic and later, if they wanted to learn looped cursive, they pretty much taught themselves. The only concern was that they didn't know all the looped letters for reading someone else's cursive, but that's pretty quickly remedied with a chart taped in their notebooks for easy reference.

My 11-year-old daughter had awful handwriting and we needed to work on it. We chose this series after looking at tons of different handwriting samples online. Italic handwriting was by far the prettiest. My daughter's handwriting has already improved a lot after working through just two books. We will complete the series and use it with our other children, starting much sooner!

Excellent, I used this series 20 years ago for my older children & now for my 11yr old after a brain injury. It has helped him tremendously to learn how to write again.

This is so much better than looped cursive. A couple of my kids don't have the best handwriting, but at least with the lack of loops, I can still read what they write.

The book series itself is good, there is no doubt there. However, we realized we had the same book at home already and tried to cancel the order with this seller very shortly after, but because of the way they process orders, pretty much once you order it, there is no stopping it. They advised us that we could ship it back to them, but that would cost too much as we ordered from Canada.To be honest, that is not really that bad, we can use the book in the future for other kids, it's more something to look out for if ordering from this supplier. What is very disturbing is that we ordered this book new and the book we received had pencil writing in it. Just all around a bad experience, but I guess they all can't be good.
