Horizons 1st Grade Math Student Book 1

I use this book for my 6 year old and she's doing very well with it. Teaches concepts that I didn't think to teach, great choice for teaching

Really enjoying this book. The content is good, as expected it includes addition and subtraction, but also months of the year, time, counting with tally marks, etc.I will say my son gets tired after just a few pages, it's very heavily writing focused, they usually have to write an answer for every problem, not much circling. Also, because my son is probably ahead in math, he's finding it so easy to do it's almost boring. It's good to practice basic math facts, so I don't mind that it's basic to start with. It's a good basic workbook, covers a lot. If you want them to enjoy math you'll need to supplement with games or something similar.

Circular math (continues to review learned concepts). Open and go style of book. Full color.

My daughter loves horizons math! We use this with our homeschool curriculum. It came quickly and in perfect condition.

I really like this workbook. I like that they break up the work for each lesson so that he only does a little addition, then a little skip counting, then number review, every day. He loves the pictures and actually enjoys math! yippy! I would recommend this workbook!

This book has been perfect for my 6 yr old son. There is always something new to learn and things to review. I like that it has tests throughout to see how well your child retains concepts. I will be getting book 2 soon because my son does about 2-3 a day while we homeschool.
