I love this telescope for my kids! It was very easy to set up and took literally less than 10 minutes !! I would recommend your kid sets this up since it’s so easy. It’s friendly for small and large hands. There are multiple lenses you can use for different magnifying purposes. The lenses are actually pretty good quality and it comes with 2.5 and 3x magnifying. It’s adjustable based on height and the telescope itself can be placed at different angles based on what you want to see. It can also be made to be held in one spot if you tighten the lever. I built this indoors and took it out at night to look at the stars. You can see the stars pretty clearly and the moon was pretty bright too. For a cheap beginner telescope, it definitely does a great job!! Would recommend.Edit: we’ve used this telescope twice and now it seems to be malfunctioning. Unfortunately I noticed this after the return period closed. The lever to hold the telescope at an angle appears to be wobbly after a few times of using it to adjust the angle of the telescope. We’re so frustrated because we’re all different heights and the telescope at only one angle is very annoying. We also noticed one of the lenses was cracked! It came with multiple lenses and we only used one at the time I wrote my original review. The other lenses don’t seem to work as well as the one lense we used. If we had multiple uses out of it, it would have been worth the price. But now I feel my money is wasted because my kids can’t use it due to the lever being broken. My kids are upset with how hard it is for them to use as well by themselves and now they don’t even want to try it. I am very disappointed.
