Basically functional, but not good for competitive adults
We wanted a buzzer set for our office Christmas party, where we were going to play Jeopardy (shoutout to JeopardyLabs for their awesome online Jeopardy templates!). After spending a fair bit of time reading reviews on Amazon, I narrowed our buzzer options down to this set, the TM101 by Retekess, and the newer TM102 by Retekess, and since they all had a similar mix of positive / middling reviews, I decided to buy all three sets and run a test to see how they compared. Spoiler alert, we did not keep this set.Pro:Basically functional! The buzzers all turned on (once AAA batteries were inserted), the screen worked, the remote worked, and everything connected properly. Probably fine for kids, or a group that isn't especially competitive.Cons:1) The biggest con was that multiple buzzers struggled to "buzz in" correctly on the first tap. We ran tests with multiple people tapping the buzzers at the same time, and out of four buzzers, three would immediately register, and the fourth would need to be tapped a second time -- and then, when tried again, three would register and a different fourth buzzer would need to be tapped a second time (so it wasn't just that one buzzer was defective). The instructions suggested changing the channel if there were issues with the buzzers connecting and we tried that, but it seemed to have no impact. This was going to be a huge issue for a room full of competitive adults who would definitely be upset if they missed out on a chance to answer just because their buzzer didn't work on the first hit.2) As mentioned by other reviews, the instructions were confusing. Particularly because there isn't standardized language throughout, and also because the buttons on the remote were not labelled as described in the manual (instead of saying "test", "reset", etc. they had "1", "2", and "3" stickers stuck over top of Chinese symbols on the buttons -- I assume if I spoke Chinese, I would find that the symbols did match the instructions)3) The voice on the screen was pretty loud and didn't seem to have a volume control or mute function.4) The buttons are indeed pretty lightweight. I don't think I necessarily thought they would break if smacked firmly, but they definitely wouldn't do well if thrown across a room or dropped on a hard surface a few times.5) After the system had been left on for about 30 minutes, the buttons all started to blink frenetically for no reason. Turning them off and back on again seemed to fix them, but it was odd.Final ruling: They worked okay, but not the winners. Repacked and returned. You can read my reviews on the other two units, but the short version is that we opted to keep the TM102 by Retekess.

Perfect for the classroom!
I got this for my sister who is a elementary school teacher because I thought it would be super fun for her to have this when they play Jeopardy or other question games! I really am happy that I went with this one because it literally works perfectly! It is pretty self-explanatory as well so it was very easy for her to set up. You can easily add up to 32 buttons to the game depending on how many students you have. There's all types of different answer modes as well as channels. You can hang up the display or you can stand it up on the table which works better for her that way she can put everything away when she's done. She said so far that the kids have been having a super fun time with it and that all of these work flawlessly. The quality is very outstanding and they can definitely stand up to elementary school kids straight up slamming the buttons LOL. They are definitely heavy duty. Perfect for any classroom game and they make it a lot easier then just kids raising their hands. It also comes with a remote for the teacher to be able to make different selections easily even from across the room. The buzzers are also color coded so you can use them for teams as well as separate answering. She said the sound quality of the buzzers is definitely loud enough to easily hear. The battery life of these also last a very long time because she has at least used these once a week Upon Us receiving it and it is still going strong! If you are thinking about it definitely don't hesitate! Any classroom or gathering would love to be able to have this for their next Jeopardy or Game Show game! Excellent value for your money especially for all you get.

Great For Use In Classroom
I selected this gameshow buzzer to use in my classroom when I am administering group formative assessments. My students have loved competing against each other during their test review time and they continue to request to use the scoreboard and the buzzers so that they can get their answers in before the other competing groups. What I like most about this set is the number of pucks that are received in the box and how well they communicate with the main receiver hub. I also like how big the receiver display is, and I am able to set this at the front of the room for all team players to observe during gameplay. I also like how each of the puck buzzer sets is colored to match the different teams in play. The remote control that comes with the unit is also a great teacher feature and allows me to be able to be in any part of the room as students complete their test reviews. Overall, I have really enjoyed this unit, and so have my students. It is made of nice quality and has a great value for the money. Very pleased.
