AETEM Secret Spot Serum 1.69 fl. Oz, Hyperpigmentation Dark Spot Remover, Dark Spot Serum with Broccoli and Moringa Extract, Discoloration Coloring Serum

I am a big enthusiast for Korean skincare product and Aetem is not a very familiar name to me. Secret spot serum is a dual functional cream - brightening and anti-aging according to its Korean instruction, and I really enjoyed a few weeks with this serum.Ingredients:It's based with broccoli extract and drum stick seed extract. It's unlike many other US (or French) products - when they call it rose serum and add 100 ppm of rose extract (meaning it's 0.01%), it is actually made WITH the extract, which is huge plus if we are looking for benefits from phytochemicals. So the color of the serum is not clear, rather it's brownish red. It contains a little bit of everything - niacinamide, panthenol, adenosine, vitamin C, and lots of peptides and even retinol (with assumably low concentration for last two.) Other than that, it's al very common solvents and texturizers and it used 1,2 hexanediol as preservative, which is known to be very safe and also moisturizing. In terms of ingredient, it's 100 out 100! It DOES contain fragrance though.Texture:It has very interesting texture. First, this doesn't contain short chain alcohol like many other products - evaporate and giving weird "refreshing" texture, which makes skin even more dry. This one doesn't - it absorbs very quickly and you can literally feel it hydrates the skin underneath. You can literally feel like you drink water with your skin. It gives nice "lit-from-within" finish as well. This one works great under makeup as well since it doesn't leave any sticky layer.Effectiveness:I'm not sure it's 100% from this product, but it surely did make my skin a lot more radiant and brighter.Final Thought:This is a great serum with wonderful texture for $25. It has light fragrance, and amazing texture and surely effective. I wish I knew the B3 concentration though. Highly recommended!

So who knew you were supposed to eat your vegetables AND rub them on your face?After hearing a lot of buzz lately about Korean beauty products and the benefits of broccoli extract, I picked up this bottle to see how it would perform. I've always taken great care of my skin, but I also love the outdoors, driving with the top down and running on the beach - all of which gave me the usual couple of random uneven spots that we all end up with over time.I love that there is no alcohol in the product. I don't need anything that will dry me out more than my gym workouts already do. The serum has a thicker slip to it than I expected. Not nearly as watery as many options on the shelf. It's not honey thick, but definitely has a little more consistency to it which I really like because it stays where you put it and really feels like it has time to absorb into my face.Being a slightly thicker serum, it does leave a little shine. Not greasy, but more than you might get from other 'brightening' products. It's not a bad thing, especially since I usually use it at night, but if I double up during the day it still absorbs quickly and just leaves my face looking fresh. It only takes a few drops to cover my entire face and then I usually go back with a few more taps on the beach spots.It's been a very gradual change, but I do feel like the serum has lightened some areas and given my skin a slightly more overall even tone. I know with some dark spot serums if you stop all the hyperpigmentation areas will come back...we'll see how that part of my non-scientific study goes when I run out of product.All the pretty stuff aside, I also really appreciate the ingredients, the close-to-clean-beauty mix and the fact that the company is animal cruelty free. So far so good. Would recommend trying it out.

Overall this is a pretty unique serum as it does add extra hydration to my skin and also has lightened a few dark spots on my skin. I’ve been using the serum primarily on a few dark spots for the last two weeks. With that, I wasn’t expecting the serum to fully remove dark spots, but it has lightened them! I took before and after pictures of a few dark spots I used the serum on. I was able to see that the dark spots did lighten in color based off the pictures that were taken. It’s a pretty noticeable change, where the dark spots are lighter which is pretty good in my book.One thing I noticed with the serum is that it Does leave a shiny film my my skin where the serum has been applied. That’s not too big of an issue as I’m only using the serum at bedtime. When I wake, the shiny film is gone leaving behind nicely hydrated skin. I observed the highest level of skin hydration under my eyes and around my temples. The serum makes my skin nice and soft as well as healthier looking! Since beginning the serum I haven’t experienced any skin irritations from its use. The serum is semi thick and easy to apply to my skin. It takes longer for the serum to absorb into my skin, hence the shiny firm it leaves behind, but still not an issue for me.I do think the serum is worth a try as it does hydrate my skin well and also did lighten a few dark spots I tried the serum on. I also think the price point is fair and well inline with other serums on the market that offer the same level of satisfaction as this one has. I’ve included before and after pictures of the improvements in a few dark spots. This is after using the serum on the dark spots for two weeks. **Note** I circled the area in the pictures to focus on dealing with the dark spots.

I have been suing this as an acne spot treatment and let me tell you, it doesn't treat that! I don't have dark spots, otherwise I would use it for those, but don't purchase this to treat acne spots! It does feel good on your skin though and doesn't seem to break out my sensitive skin, so that's a huge plus!
