Tambour Beading: Techniques and Projects

I remember trying to find a book on tambour beading a few years ago, and I could only find French books. I've followed the author of this book on Instagram for a few years, always being amazed by her beautiful goldwork. When she announced the publication of this book I pre-ordered it immediately! It finally arrived today, so obviously I haven't applied the techniques yet. However, I've read the introductory chapter and enjoyed a thorough browse of all the pages. I can say that it is filled with wonderful, clear photos and explanations of techniques. You don't need a lot of fancy equipment if you're already someone who enjoys embroidery. The only thing I need to buy is a tambour hook! There are also some beautiful projects. I often don't make projects that are offered in books like this as I prefer to do my own thing after studying the techniques, but I'm in love with the Christmas garland and know I'll make that one already!

With clear explanations of techniques and well-illustrated, this is a book for both the practitioner and the interested reader.

This book I have been waiting for all my life. It totally fantastic, its very informative. I tend to buy books and put them on my book case. This book I just can't put down, it take you through every step and has all the templates you need for practice. There are amazing projects in the book and Natalie also provides a list at the back of where you can buy supplies from. I plan on doing every project in this book. I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting to learn this embroidery skill. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I purchased this book as an introduction to tambour beading having not done this type of embroidery before. It is a brilliant book with excellent pictures throughout to help guide your technique. I especially found the guidance around equipment helpful to get me started. I couldn’t recommend highly enough!
