Excellent replacement neck
I bought a MIM Strat back in 2000 and immediately had the neck scalloped. I also immediately disliked the scalloped neck and wound up putting the guitar in a closet for the past 20 years. I decided to invest in this neck in an attempt to make it playable again. The neck felt so good when done that I decided to add an EMG KH20 loaded pickguard. It’s now one of the most versatile, nicest playing, and nicest sounding guitars I’ve ever played, and very far from the most expensive.Takes some work to get an optimal feel, but it is well worth the effort. My first step was using a sanding block at a 45 degree angle to smooth the fret edges and slightly round the otherwise slightly sharp fretboard edges.Next step was to apply a few coats of tung oil. I applied 3-4 coats over the course of 2 days. Apply, wait 30 minutes to soak in, then wipe off the excess. Don’t let it sit too long! Repeat a number of hours later. The tung oil will feel a bit odd at first, but completely dries and hardens and feels very nice and smooth after a few days. The last step was to use some 0000 steel wool after taping of the wood parts of the fretboard to avoid scratching. The frets were initially a bit rough, but it is an easy fix. Finished with some lemon oil, and the neck was ready.I bought some inexpensive locking tuners, and they fit perfectly. The neck fit in the body perfectly, as well.I will definitely order another one of these if I have another Partscaster build.I didn’t rate the craftsmanship as being 5 stars because it is up to the customer to finish it a they see fit. It comes unfinished with lightly rough frets out of the box. Easy to make great, though.

Better than advertised!!
This neck is wonderful. Fit perfectly into the body of the guitar, secure, and very well created. They provided great instructions on how to drill the holes for installation. I will order from StewMac again.

Good guitar neck for fair price
This is my first "guitar build" so I'm not expert in the quality of guitar parts, but this neck was adequate and easy to install on my custom guitar. As far as I know, there was NOT a lacquer finish on the neck. The neck DID NOT come with strings nor tuning pegs, but DID come with frets installed and holes drilled for installation to the body and installation for tuning pegs. The one flaw in the neck I received was that the high e string's groove in the nut was shallow so that the string would pop out of the nut while playing an open high e. I've tried to deepen this groove in the nut with a knife, but it hasn't worked well.

Good neck
No it's not as good as the neck on my Am Std tele but pretty close. Had a small blemish bump on the back of the neck up near 3rd fret. Very small merely a speck that you can feel but this seems to be smoothing out over time and you can't really see it unless you put your face right up to it and no it's there.Feels and plays really nicely. Looks good especially with the black hardware. Frets are nice maybe a tiny bit sharp but I don't even notice that now that I am used to it. Definitely won't scratch or cut you.I put this on a Squier Affinity strat that I wanted to make playable. Paid forty dollars for the guitar and now it is one of my favorite players. I recommend and would buy another.

Excellent
I watched and read a lot of reviews prior to buying this Mighty Mite Neck for my Strat. When compared against Fender, Warmouth and Squire, the consensus seemed to be that most preferred this neck. I restore guitars often and I was not disappointed with this one. The finishing and quality are amazing. It was just a little thick at the heel. A quick sander job to take it down 1/32" and it fit the body of my guitar very well. I adjusted the truss rod about a 1/4 turn to provide the small amount of relief needed to suit my setup. The frets are level and the neck is straight. It arrived heavily padded and well boxed to avoid damage in transit. I'm glad I got this product for $150 instead of paying $200 for the Fender that is said to have rough finishes, uneven frets and sharp edges. Buy this neck for your Strat. You won't be disappointed.

Wil need some fine tuning
Nice neck for the money, all frets are sprouted to point of needng attention. Wood is nice and smooth, tuner holes are good. Haven't checked frets for level yet, but i'm sure they are close and i intend to polish during installation anyway. Nice inexpensive replacement.

works, but needs fretwork
The fretwork on the neck from a $160 complete kit guitar was better than this. I get sprouting is hard to mitigate sometimes, but they were really gritty once strings were installed. Just something they cut corners on.

The heel is a bit thick depth wise
The fit, finish and fret work on this neck is actually pretty good, but the heel needs to have some meat taken off it, well that was the case for the squire body i put it on, probably sanded off 1/16 of material, then i was able to lower the string saddles down for much a better setup and play ability, and now the neck plays great.. best playing guitar i have
