Kenmore 24" Built-In Dishwasher - White

1st impressions are great so far. My husband did the install. His 1st dishwasher install ever. He did say the instructions weren’t model specific, which annoyed him at first. After a little time he got the hang of it, though. We did a small search over a holiday weekend for a replacement dishwasher on sale. After searching the big box store websites, we came over to Amazon, and this one was sponsored and right at the top of the search. It ticked all my general boxes and then some, while staying in our exact budget. I didn’t think I could get a stainless inside under $500, but here it is! I’m actually pleased with the way the door opens and closes and the touch screen. I think the inside is large and I like the silverware basket. It is quiet enough for a dishwasher. Probably quieter than my last model. There are 6 different cycles to pick from, including express and smart wash. You can also add options to the cycle like sani rinse and half load. There are 5 options in all. They have printed the options and cycles available on the top of the door for quick reference as well as on the touch screen. We really like that. The touch screen itself is very sensitive, so I noticed even walking past the screen too close when on might pause the cycle accidentally. Look for the flashing bubbles. That means the cycle paused. The trays/racks seem very sturdy to me. All in all, we are very pleased. The Amazon delivery service was prompt and courteous, too.

Update 7/10/26 The dishwasher stopped working. Unfortunately we did not buy a warranty and can't afford to have it fixed. It was a complete waste of $500. It didn't even make it five months from the date of purchase. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It does not clean your dishes. Instalation instructions and owners manual are not written clearly. Every time you brush up next to the key pad it starts. Half the time the key pad doesn't work. Dishes do not come clean unless you choose the pots and pans cycle. The dishwasher I had prior worked better. What a complete waste of money.

I purchased to replace my dishwasher where the impeller began to break up inside. It sounded like gravel in the blades when pumping out water. The install was easy and they give you foil decals to protect the underside of counter top from steam. Also rubber side strips to block sound. It does a great job cleaning and is very quiet. The touch screen has a delay when turning on and is responsive. You can adjust cycles and other settings and shows time left. It turns off after 15 mins but can be set to always on. The top of the door shows what the icons mean on the display. I gave a 4 because longevity is unknown. The wash arms are narrow. It does have a very easily accessible filter inside that catches large food particles. I know electric motor technology is advancing rapidly but the motor seems small. Overall for the budget minded this is a good choice. I have two in my household. For a large family you may want to look at a beefier model.

It works but is a bit bigger than the standard dishwasher. I really had to try to make it fit in the space that the last 3 dishwashers fit easily into. The touch screen is small and hard to see. It took a couple of days to figure out what the symbols mean. Also, if you happen to walk by too close to it, it stops. After months we still don't know how to use all of its functions. I long for the old days when they had buttons and knobs. They were really easy to use. I would pay extra for a new older model with buttons and knobs.

Bought this in feb 2025 and March 2026 had to order the control board as it just stopped working. Sears Parts direct claims to get their parts out in 3-7 days it has been on back order with no delivery date in sight .tried to cancel and get my money back but was told i had to wait for the part and could file a return t that point. Avoid this product as the dealer service is nonexistent. Saw reviews on the red it site and they were nightmares of the runaround process for other sears products as well. You have to pay up front then they have your money.
