Q: Do these have a leather upper? The description states 'other leather'

The upper is a mix of Gortex and leather. BEWARE my sides split after 3 months of ownership. Same blue pair. Another comment on here from another has pictures documenting this after 4 months. (Sorry to add this to your answer but just felt it right to alert you.)

Q: What is the mens version of the ladies low rise salida trekker

I think thats better directed to Merrell or an out door retail shop.

Q: can i use shoe polish on them?

The shoes are 'Nubuck' which is a form of suede - do not polish, instead get a nubuck/suede conditioner (google it).

Q: I have feet that are wide and so have to be careful with any shoe purchases....are these wider than most shoes/walking boots?

Got them for holiday. Not worn yet but I do have wide feet . Felt ok when I tried them on . It was free return when I bought mine - so give them a try
