Refrigerator Water Line Kit - 1/4 Water line for Ice Maker, RO Water Filter

I am not a plumber. Let's just get that out of the way. My toolbox consists of a hammer, a screwdriver with a questionable tip, and a lot of hope. So when our new fridge arrived, the idea of hooking up the water line for the ice maker and dispenser filled me with a deep sense of dread. I bought this YUHX kit figuring I'd give it a shot before calling in a professional and admitting defeat. I am so glad I did! This kit is absolutely fantastic. The instructions were clear, the parts felt high-quality, and everything you need is right there in the box. The star of the show for me was the little blue pipe cutter. I was expecting to have to fight with the tubing, but this thing sliced through it like a hot knife through butter, giving a perfect, clean edge every single time. It made the job feel professional, even in my very unprofessional hands. Now, for the story. The installation was going so smoothly that I got a little cocky. My mother-in-law was "supervising," standing over my shoulder and offering helpful advice like, "Are you sure that goes there?" and "Don't forget to tighten it." I had just made the final connection to the back of the fridge. I slowly turned the valve under the sink just a crack to check for leaks. "I don't see any drips," I announced proudly. "Lean in closer, you have to be sure," she insisted, bending over right next to me for a better look. It was at that exact moment I realized I had forgotten to fully tighten the compression nut on the back of the fridge. The pressure built up for a split second before the tubing popped loose. A jet of ice-cold water shot out with the force of a tiny fire hose and scored a direct hit, square on my mother-in-law's bifocals. There was a moment of stunned silence, followed by a sputtering sound you only hear in cartoons. The cat shot out of the kitchen like a rocket. I scrambled to shut the water off, laughing so hard I could barely breathe. The best part? After we all dried off and she retreated to a "supervisory" position in the next room, it took me literally 30 seconds to properly tighten the fitting. No leaks, no drips, just perfect, clear water and the priceless memory of my mother-in-law looking like she'd been in a water pistol fight with a squid. 10/10 would recommend this kit. It saved me a couple hundred bucks on a plumber, and the story alone was worth the price. The ice maker works flawlessly. Buy it!

This refrigerator water line kit worked exactly as described. The 1/4" OD tubing was the right length (25 ft) and feels durable and well made. The quick-connect fittings made installation very easy, even for someone without much plumbing experience. I used it to connect my refrigerator ice maker, and it fit perfectly with no leaks. The compression fittings sealed well, and everything hooked up smoothly. It’s also compatible with reverse osmosis and water filter systems, which is a nice bonus. Great value for the price and saved me a trip to the hardware store. Highly recommend for anyone installing or replacing a fridge water line.

I have an RO system under my kitchen sink on an island and have wanted to run a line from that location to under my fridge for years. Finally I did it, thanks to this kit I had everything I needed to get the job done. Including a nice 90 degree cutter. After fishing the tape and pulling the line I quickly tapped right into the line coming off the RO system, pressed in a few fittings to add a tap and fitting on the other end. One tiny drip... pulled the tube and noticed I cut slightly off from 90 degrees. Fixed that and now no leaks. Once the line was in place the connections took like 3 minutes and it works perfectly. On my install I'm popping the line out of the floor under the sink and fridge. The 90 degree tube angle pieces are great for this transition... I feel like that wasn't their intended purpose but that in this case it will help prevent any wear in the area where the tube goes through the wood. Will help prevent kinking. I then on the fridge I cut the line to the filter and looped the line from the inlet valve... back to the inlet valve, to bypass the filter that's no longer needed. On my Kenmore/Whirlpool the inlet valve and filter assembly have quick connects, yours may too. So putting it back to 'filter' mode when you get rid of it will be quick and easy. Thank god I got this kit. My fridge line somehow got an inside hole in it and had to replace it and this was my purchase. For starters, it’s easy to assemble and more than long enough to reach any tapped in line in your house up to the fridge. It’s held the test of time and hasn’t broken so that’s great. This thing saved me from having to drink my city water lol

It has a lot of parts but it doesn’t have the one to convert a 1/4 to a 3/8 waterline. But the length of hose and cutter work well.

From Drips and Disasters to DIY Victory! We bought a brand-new fridge, exciting, right? Well, not for long. The copper tube (with its ferrule and compression nut) that came with our old setup gave us a mini horror show. First, I connect it while the fridge is still pulled out, and it seems okay… a few drips at first, then it stops. Victory? Nope. I slide the fridge back into place, watched an episode of a Korean series, come back and — surprise! There’s a puddle forming on my kitchen floor like my fridge was marking its territory. Turns out, the stiff copper line decided to shift and let water leak from the top of the compression nut. But wait, it gets better. I turn off the valve under the sink to stop the leak… and now that connection starts dripping. Like I said — can’t win. At this point, I was ready to give up and call our ever-reliable plumber. I dove into YouTube, fell into a rabbit hole of plumbing tutorials, and eureka, a flexible water line kit with simple push connectors! No wrenches, no guesswork, no surprise geysers. This refrigerator kit had everything: 25 feet of flexible tubing, push-to-connect fittings, a shutoff valve, even a little tube cutter that made me feel like I knew what I was doing. Installation was way easier than I expected, like adult Legos but for water. And guess what? No more drips. Not from the fridge, not from under the sink. And best of all? No plumber bill. If a guy like me, who thought “compression nut” sounded like a wrestling move, can pull this off, anyone can. 5 stars. And for the price, it saved my floor, my pride, and possibly my marriage.

This kit is great and saves you Time and money and Is relatively easy to use to fix problems. I used it and saved à ton of money vs using a plumber👍😀

We bought our house a few years ago and inherited all of the appliances with it. The refrigerator was definitely a little dated, and once I actually inspected the water line behind it, I realized that needed some attention too. We're on a well and the old tubing was discolored, had some rust deposits in it, and the water flow wasn't great. This kit made replacing everything ridiculously easy. Basically plug and play. I just trimmed the tubing to the lengths I needed, connected everything and that was it. No leaking, no kinking, no fighting with anything. It also comes with WAY more tubing than I actually needed, which is nice to have leftover. For how inexpensive this was, it was honestly one of those little upgrades that made a huge difference. If you have an older refrigerator water line or really any water hookup that hasn't been touched in years, check it. This is a very cheap and easy way to replace it and know you've got a clean line going to your water.

Great kit with high quality components. The cutter is very sharp and cuts tubing very easily. Tons of line installation options including an entire compression fit kit and a compression fit conversion to push tube fitting. The shutoff valve is high quality and everything was very easy to push in and install. No clips came with the kit is the only downside IMO. Even if they aren't needed they are still a redundancy that's good to have.

Great package for connecting a water line to a refrigerator. The package contains lots of various components, making connections easier. I did have to go to the hardware store to buy a 3/8” to 1/4” compression fitting since that was the only thing missing. Still lots of spare parts leftover. No leaks after a week now.

This came with all the connectors and lots of hose. It was so easy for me to hook up I couldn't believe it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to hook up their ice maker, or whatever. Lots of spare hose and connectors.

Sure makes thing simpler with this all in one kit. No need to run out to a big box store for those extra parts. Overall worked great and most importantly...no leaks
