The title says it all. This is the best bottled salsa verde available. Lucky for us, it's the best value as well, you don't find that happen very often. I've read some people complain that it's watery. It's not thick, but it pops with authentic tomatillo flavor and I love the texture, it's great for dipping or drizzling over your food. You can doctor it up and make it more spicy with some fresh serrano or add some cilantro, but honestly it's addicting straight out of the jug. Normally, I don't like large containers. Pace is a good example, it's not as good in those half gallon bottles. Seriously, it tastes different, but not so with Herdez Salsa Verde. It tastes just fine and stores well in this large size. You can waste your time and money on more expensive brands, but they're not as good.

This stuff is so good--spicy, flavorful, and smooth. Everything is blended so well that it somehow makes for a whole new flavor I've never had before. Look at me, talking like Rémy from Ratatouille! But it's true. With difficulty I can parse out some of the various flavors. But usually I just want to enjoy it. I've made this a monthly Subscribe n Save item, and I have to restrain myself from using it up before the next jug arrives.

My husband and I both absolutely love the Herdez Salsa Verde and especially when we can find it in the big 4.25lb jug. It's so very flavorful and it's amazing mixed in a dip, as a sauce or of course as a dip on it's own. Love it in casseroles and Chicken Verde or Pork Verde ...we always keep an extra jug on hand so hopefully we will never run out. It's a necessity at my house 😁

Good price, especially for bulk sauce. I'm no expert on verde salsa, but I enjoy the taste of this sauce.
