I too had so many doubts whether this would work or not , but it's working 100 % perfectMy TV Model is : 55X8000HMany had raised concerns whether Google assistant would work or not , but it's working . Follow the steps..1. Remove the batteries from the older remote. If not then there might be problem for the new remote to get connected to the TV2. By powering on the new remote , only infrared based operation will work (means you have to project the remote towards the TV ) and Google Assistant will not work3. Go to TV settings -> Remotes & Accessories -> Remote Control -> Connect Via Bluetooth.4. Connect the remote via BluetoothOnce you do this Google assistant start to work and Bluetooth based remote operations start to work ( means you don't have to project the remote towards the TV every time you use )Hope this information helps ..

This is the first remote where the voice command works and I would have returned a few from the same app, but this works like a gem
