I was needing this kit because I do trail riding in my bronco and I’m always throwing new parts on it but now and then I break a bolt due to the age of the vehicle. In this case I was putting on new headers. This kit is super easy to use, and comes with plenty coils to get the job done. The metal case is your typical metal case for tap sets and the taps are well built too. If I need another set in the future I’m gonna order this one again.

The drill bits are not very durable and I ended up using a better one. Other than that, this is a really good kit for the money.

The insert is going into aluminum and tap wouldn't bite into the metal to start threading. The thread started further up the tap shaft. I didn't have the correct fractional bit large so I use their bit to open up the start of the hole just a little bit. Then the tap was in deep enough to catch the threads.

These are great. I stripped a valve cover bolt on my 2008 civic and thought I was screwed. But no, I drilled it out using the 6mm drill bit (this step took the longest, maybe the drill bit isn't the greatest). Then, I used the tap and it was surprisingly easy. I moved it clockwise until it got rough, and then backed out every so often and repeated this motion until it was too hard to turn. After that, all it took was that insert tool and you literally just line it up with the hole and turn. You'll know when it's going into the threads because it feels springy. I was surprised it caught on the threads so well. Once you start the helicoil insert, you can remove the tool to see how deep the insert is, and then you can put it back in and move the helicoil deeper until it's where you desire. Lastly, I put my new bolt in there and it was perfect, it was a little on the tight side (which is good) and the insert feels strong with no play. Definitely get this instead of having to use a bigger non-original bolt.

I'm satisfied with the coils, and the drill bits were fine for drilling into an aluminum engine block (which is pretty soft - so not sure how they'd hold up to harder metal).However, note that while this include the tap bits, it does *not* include the T-handles AND each tap has a different sized head, so you'll need an adjustable handle (or a whole set of fixed T-handles). I'd give it 4 stars if it mentioned clearly in the description that there was no handle.
