Excellent built and finish. Good optics. Quality Control Issues?
ADDENDUM - Quality or design issues? After my initial test, I noticed again some recurring focusing issues leading to dual imaging. I noticed lack of sharpness and objects coming to focus twice. In these conditions I could not calibrate the dioptric at all. However by gently sending forth and back to the full extent the dioptric wheel, the inter-pupillary regulations and the focusing gears (all three!) then the dual imaging seemed to disappear and I could regulate the dioptric again. It seems that there is some differential play in the focusing gears of the two arm. Whatever it is, it is clearly a fault and I returned it for a refund.I usually do not score down items because of a single fault. Even the most reliable products can fail and one statistical sample is not enough to judge. However I noticed other complaints on focusing and I am now more reluctant to recommend this otherwise very good binoculars.__________I have a modern and excellent Hawke 8x42 roof prism, an old Bresser 10x42 roof prism and an older but excellent Russian KOMS BPC5 8x30 porro prism binoculars. This is a compact model so it is unfair to compare those with it. They offer a much better viewing experience, especially so with the Hawke and KOMS.However I agree entirely with the excellent reviews on both Amazon and on the specialised web sites. The built and finish is excellent, inspiring quality and confidence. It is waterproof and nitrogen purged. Mechanically they are good although a little heavy for a compact 10x25. The focus gear is very smooth but has some minimal play and is a little too sensitive. Range is excellent with outstanding close focus and good FOV (105m at 1000 m). Optically they are well specified with fully multicoated optics and BaK 4 prism (not phase corrected). For a little more the excellent Hawke Frontier 10x25 offer PC prisms. However in use they showed no annoying aberrations, good colour rendition and resolution especially in the center. Contrast is also excellent. They are bright for the small size. The eyecups are very well made with simple operation and good stability. They allow viewing with spectacles. The dioptric adjustment is easy to operate and stiff enough to maintain position.I did find accurate calibration difficult to obtain. I am not sure if the focus mechanism in my unit has some relative variability in the two arms. I did not have such issue with another model of small compacts. They do not come with any lens cover. This is not a bad thing in itself, but the protective case is an issue: it is made of decent material, but it is not of the best design and is way too tight. All in all a highly recommended pair of binoculars especially for sport events, travelling light and the occasional holiday excursions just missing out on five stars.

Worked well and nice and compact
Worked well and nice and compact. However they seized up after 4 months. The manufacturer's guarantee replaced them with no quibbles fortunately.

Bad focus!
I bought these after hearing good reviews from my brother who had previously bought a pair. Unfortunately for me the focus doesn't seem to work when I focus on to an object. I'd purchased these about a month before I went on a safari and so by the time I realised they were faulty I was unable to return. If you purchase I recommend you try them out as soon as you get them!

Good quality bins
Good quality bins.! No complaints except about about my judgement/assessment of what I needed.Good close up view , but for bird spotting 8x or 6x magnification , would have been better - less camera shake.
