Not certain they work to keep the deer away.

If not for this one problem, I would give a rating of 5. I purchased them to deter deer from my flower gardens. They do work if you can get them to function properly. Setting them up was very confusing and instructions are not written with clear English grammar and the buttons on the alarms don't coincide with the written instructions. I had to go around daily to my gardens, take them apart (the settings are underneath the alarm) and and reset them every day. Even with that, sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. I wanted to return these for a refund, but missed the return window.

I got this specifically to keep my neighbor’s cats away from my door. It is working!! The solar works as it should. The multitude of sounds is fantastic. Very happy with this.

I live in a rural area where bears, mountain lions, wolves, ect are pretty common. With that said the range on this alright at best. I'm a 5'10 guy that was only detected by one of the motion sensors at 27'. I approached directly at the sensor swerving back and fourth to give this its best chance as well. This just doesnt work for me on a 17 acre property as it would take an army of these. A remote is included as well and with direct line of sight i got it to work at 47' which isnt very impressive. The plastic case of this also feels relatively cheap and if i had to guess it wont last longer than 6 months.Now for the good stuff. The sound is actually pretty impressive for its size. There are 3 settings and you can record something as well. There is a very bright red flashing light when it goes off which works good and bad at the same time. If i were a thief this will show me exactly where its located to smash. On a positive if its somewhere you can see it before that happens it will show you exactly where their approach is from. There are 2 base options which work good. One will allow this to be mounted to a wall or post ect or the other is a ground steak. Lastly it includes a charger so you can charge it if needed or allow solar to do the work. This will work great for some cases but not for all.

The media could not be loaded. At first it seems kind of simple and generic which I like. What is it something/one may unsuspectingly be curious about. Then bam loud noise and motion sensor.The keychain remote is the icing. I can set it and change it from my keys. On or off when I don't want to use it.It's loud too!When I'm isolated I want to scare away people and animals and know they are coming. For example a bear got to a bag I forgot had some dog food and also bit some stuff including a hole in my gas can so something like this is perfect. Otherwise I keep on the dash for security and charging.Super cool, simple and does what it needs to do without being overly complicated.

It occasionally power cycles itself for no reason whatsoever. The motion sensor is very sporadic and intermittent. The life of the battery is under an hour of repeated use. When it works, it works great! The mount is cheap and useless.
