These are far superior to another brand that you can find in most high-end stores. I’ve used the other brand and after a few uses they stretch and lose all elasticity. Quite the opposite of these and I’ve been very impressed so far with them. Daily use and still the same shape and size and do a great job of holding up my thin hair. Will definitely repurchase because you can never have enough hair ties!

I bought these as I read silk was better for your hair than traditional ponytails. After over a year of using products from Silkie, I have less ripping of my baby fine hair, fewer knots, and less scalp pain than I am used to. These do not catch, rip, or knot my hair at all but they will still hold it back. They have also held up well under regular hand washing or in my machine on gentle cycle, though it you pull on them too much, they may stretch out a little bit. I plan on buying more and only wish they came in more colors as I do like to color coordinate all my accessories with my outfits or current hair color.One last thought - I also like how the silk feels on my skin of it's on my wrist. It's very smooth and I figure that's why it doesn't year up my hair, as well as why it doesn't hurt my wrist skin (I'm very sensitive).

Um Haarbruch zu vermeiden, verwende ich ausschließlich Srunchies aus Seide/ Satin.Diese Haargummis vom SILKIE finde ich super! Sie bieten einen Starken halt, auch beim Sport und schädigen außerdem meine Haare nicht.Ob der Einsatz von Seide ethisch vertretbar ist, muss jeder für sich entscheiden, das steht aber auf einem anderen Blatt. Grundsätzlich erfüllt das Produkt seinen Zweck 100%.

I enjoyed these so much I just purchased a second time to replace the first set. They are beautiful colors and the elastic holds up very well. Be careful not to get wet as it can change the look of the silk slightly. I purchased these to reduce damage to my hair and breakage as I wear almost every day. These are a good size for medium to thin hair. It may be a bit small for thick hair.
