We have a big back yard and I use this every night to see the dogs when they do their last potty and every morning before dawn when they do their 1st potty. I can see everything. It's like a flood light on my head. If a critter is out past the gate. I can see their eyes glow.In the winter if a dusk dog walk, I take it with me. It is a little big, but still fits in my pocket.It is also easy and quick to charge with no batteries. I charge about every 3-4 weeks. I've had it for almost a year with no issues.

I WAITED ON THIS FOR DAYS, SO EXCITED TO GET. WHEN IT ARRIVED, IT SMELLED WAS SO DIRTY AND SCRATCHED UP, AND BTW, IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK!!! THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY USED BEFORE AND THERE IS NO CHARGER IN THE BOX. I CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD SEND SOMETHING OUT IN THIS CONDITION. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING AGAIN FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. I WISH I COULD SPEAK TO SOMEONE DIRECTLY TO CONVEY MY FRUSTRATION AND DISAPPOINTMENT.

I’ve been through so many headlamps. This one is the real deal. Lasts long, stays bright and doesn’t get to hot. Proof that a cooling fan for headlights in this class are unnecessary. This thing is bright! I can literally see my finger bones when I hold it up to my hand! If you want to light up the darkness this thing is awesome. I'm buying another one and selling my others. I do most of my activities at night and this light is always with me. If you want super bright then GET IT.

HI LUMEN OUTPUT LED HEADLAMPThis headlamp was advertised to have a zoom in / out function.It does not have this Zoom function and is light is fixed in a narrow beam.Im upgrading to this $40 headlamp for walking at night from a $10 Harbor freight headlamp which is zoomable but a much lower light output.Advertised as able to use standard AA batteries if 18650 3.7V Li Ion batteries are not available.Battery case does not allow standard AA batteries to be used. AA batteries are too short to use in the battery case.The light is very bright but lamp metal housing case is quite large.It comes with a standard USB to micro USB charging cable, and also has a standard USB output to charge a phone or other USB device.Tried this full size USB output to lighting cable on iPhone 12 and seems to charge phone.Lamp also has a second front downward aiming smaller white LED separately switchable under the main light housing, but it shines in your face, so this does not seem to be useful, but its a second white led light with a lower output under main lamp case, maybe for reading a map.Other good feature is a rear blinking RED LED 6 segment light aimed at your rear, for night visibility from behind while walking. This is separately switched on.Light also has a 4 segment blue battery charge state LEDS to show charge state.Light comes with 3 -18650 Li - ion 3.7V batteries so this should run for quite a while.I use an XTAR VP4 charger which charges AAA, AA, ni-mh, & Li-ion 3.7V batteries so this charges 3- 18650 batteries at 1amp in about 1 hour. This charger also refreshes ni-mh and Li-ion batteries.Have not tried using charging cable to charge batteries in case yet.Just got his unit 12/10/2021 so have not tried is at night yet.12/21/2021Updated review to 3 stars, downward COB light does not work anymore. Worked for about 4 days, then does not turn on. This light was an extra, not main light, so the basic high intensity light is still functional. Paid $40, price went to $50 so user beware of this light. Would like to get a fully functioning replacement, Threw away shipping box, so will live with defective product.Steve S.
