What a fantastically Witchy teapot! It feels like I’m brewing something in Potions Class at Hogwarts and I love it.Seriously though, this is a hardcore teapot. It’s very heavy cast iron with an enamel inside.A mesh diffuser sits in the top so you don’t need a strainer if you’re using loose tea, but if you’re using tea bags you could remove it.The lid is fastened on with a lovely braided waxed cord and the handle is wrapped in rope.It also comes with a little embroidered padded cloth for holding if it’s hot.Because of the distance of the handle from the lid, it IS possible to pour one handed, holding the lid secure with the index finger while the rest of the hand holds the handle.As it’s cast iron this teapot can simply be used as a teapot or it can be used on the cooker or the top of a log stove.At full capacity It contains four small cups of tea, or by my measure about 900 mlsIt keeps the tea warm for AGES - long enough for me to slowly drink three cups and my husband one.Given the cost of cast iron cookware these days I think this is a very reasonable price for what it is. It’s beautiful quality and I’m simply loving using it.

I fell that the images don't really do the teapot justice as there is more to it than just looks. The weight and feel of the tea-pot itself as well as the quality feel of the product really add to the overall impression of the product. The teapot pours nice and smooth and is fairly good at keeping the tea warm, however I have the medium sized pot and there is not much (if any) tea left in the pot after pouring 2 average sized cups of tea. Beyond that, the teapot is built to last and I can very well imagine it being around for many, many years if not hundreds.

Perfect for boiling water and keeping the tea hot. It also adds a cozy-feeling touch to my kitchen.
