Effective Leather Colorant Kit
I cleaned a trace amount of splattered white paint drops from a leather chair arm & seat using saddle soap and a moistened microfiber cloth. It ended up removing some of the original leather coloring. I used this kit in an extremely sparing manner to blotch just enough coloring onto the faded areas so they blend in at a casual glance and only close inspection shows the fading and darker color touchup. Tested a drop of water first per instructions to make sure the leather finish was not absorbent. I used a cotton swab to apply just a small amount of balm to a dry microfiber cloth wrapped around my index finger, dabbed the cloth onto a paper towel till it left only a faint mark then lightly dabbed the faded areas of the leather with the cloth. Worked quite well. When I first did an inconspicuous hidden area of the back edge of the seat pillow, I dabbed the cotton swab directly onto the leather. Came out way too dark and showed the overlap of each dab. While that was still moist I dabbed the cloth onto the moist balm then dabbed that lightly onto the adjacent test area and saw I could get a very light covering just for blending purpose. The mink oil gives a very smooth glossy finish. Interested to see if that lasts or dries and needs to be repeated every so often. The balm did not rub off the test area as I applied the mink oil. I can't speak to coloring an entire piece with this kit. It has worked very well for cosmetic touchup of small faded areas.Update: used some saddle soap on a moist microfiber cloth intending to wear off the test spots & was surprised to see the balm & mink oil immediately rubbed right off. So this colorant is just a kind of temporary makeup for leather. Not surprising. Chemicals for making and coloring & preserving leather are really strong stuff. Will be careful to use only mink oil on the touched up areas and see if the balm lasts or wears off just from using the chair.

It is coming off my seats. I don't know what to do.
I don't Know what to do buy more to fix? Will it come off again? If i find another product that is better , how would I use it with this one is on the seats of my truck. If I put it over this stuff it would come off with it. It does not stain the seat with the color , it coats it. It looked really good when i was done within a week it was coming off on the edges and other spots.

Great kit
Surprising easy to use. I used it to color a purple leather bag to black. It was very effective with no staining or residual color coming off the leather. I only needed one coat but put two on just incase. The amount of product also goes a long way.

Good balm for recoloring leather
This is a nice recoloring balm, and it is easy to use. The navy blue is deep and rich. It goes on smooth and is easy to buff into place. It saturates the leather well. It does exactly what I expected it to do.

Good product BUT you need to be really patient
This product give really good result but it's hard to get an even finish and it take à lot of effort to have a good finish result. 4h for one car set . But the finish is really well done (look like new).in conclusion good product but dont think it will be an easy task !
