I don't get the negative reviews.
Easy to set up. I can see why some might not like the design, but I think it makes the controls accessible and easy to use. I don't get the negative reviews. Some say they disconnect but I bought 2 and haven't had any disconnections. Also, make sure to change the size of the ear plastic thing to the small one if it hurts your ear. You need to put them on in a way they are not hurting your ear. I've worn these for hours and haven't had any issues at all. They don't fall easily and stay put. Accessible volume and skip buttons are great! Not even the airpods have this.I have the beats wireless headphones and these sound better than the beats.

Disconnects within SECONDS if no audio is playing
The sound quality is pretty good for the price, and the fit was a bit awkward at first but I got used to it. Sadly, I'll never use these except as backup headphones for my desktop computer. Why? Whenever I pause audio playback on my phone (Pixel 2), they drop the connection within about 15 seconds. I assume this is some sort of battery-saving feature, but in practical terms it means that if I need to pause a podcast or song to read an email, or talk to someone at the gym, or listen to an announcement on the subway, I have to reconnect my headphones afterwards. I thought this was some bad Android setting at first, but it does the same thing with my BF's iPhone. It does something even weirder when it's connected to a computer - if no audio is playing, every 30-60 seconds it plays an alert sound, then says "Bluetooth Connected" - which gets annoying real quick, especially if you stop your music/podcast/etc because you need to concentrate on something.Normally I would have returned these within the first 12 hours, but I tore the packaging as I opened it. It didn't even occur to me that I should be careful - these headphones are the first Sony products I've ever owned that I wanted to return.

GREAT but FALLS.
This does all of its functionings perfectly, except for 1... staying in place. The audio quality is great, the bluetooth functionality is great, and the controls are not bad.But the design is TERRIBLE! It must not be compatible with all ear shape anatomies, as I see others did not have this problem. It's supposed to be meant for exercise, but I can barely jump twice before the left ear falling out. Even with minimal motion. It's irritating. I dont have this problem with the apple earphones.

Headphones that seamlessly work and work the way bluetooth headphones have been promised to work are finally here?
These are a great pair of Bluetooth earphones. At first I was iffy about the shape of the ear tubes but they balance and rest very well. The ability to let enough outside noise in while still getting good audio is impressive and not a trade-off like most brands. The low end solid but not over doing it in excess. The overall EQ of the earbuds is a lot better than expected and sounds like a nice pair of dedicated music headphones rather than average running headphones. As for weight, they are light. I have walked far out of range of by phone a few times forgetting I had these in. Speaking of range, it's bluetooth and it is just as good as any quality bluetooth connection and way better than what you get on the sub $49 pairs you get on amazon. If you have an android phone with NFC, pairing is they way NFC is advertised in commercials, it's instant and outstandingly flawless. Also your the android people, turn on the bluetooth 'Media Volume Sync' on your phone if you are in to that. These support that feature. It makes the volume control on your phone and the +/- on the earpiece work together in stead of independently. Yes these work with your computer, iPhone, other cellphone, etc.If you are still reading this just click order already. You will not be disappointed unless you want noise canceling for a flight or a spouse or kid; for that buy the WI-SP600.

Constantly disconnect and reconnect
I really want this product to be prefect. I love it's design. I used some random sports earpods which come form some never-heard manufactural companies. They all has really loud volume or bad design that hurt my ear after long time wearing. So I bought a new one from JBL and this time was almost prefect. The volume control on the wire is really heavy so it pulls all the wire to my left side. SP500 has no such problem. everything is on the earpiece and it stays in my ear very firmly. However, it constantly disconnect and reconnect with my apple watch 3. That never happened while music was playing so I wasnt paid much attention at first. Later on I added data plan to my watch and I start to pick up phone calls by the watch so I need to have the headphone on for almost the whole morning. The disconnect and reconnect noice happens every minute. I have to give up using it and turned back to my old JBL headphone, which never lose connection. I also connected it to my macbook, this happens as well. So disappointed.

Great bass and decent volume on thse earbuds.
At first when I got these earbuds I was ready to send them back. The earbuds fit awkwardly in my ears and I tried the one only different tips provided in the package. They are not inner earbuds so you fidget with them constantly to insure that they don't fall out during a jog or workout. I was also a bit disillusioned with the level of max volume to block outside sound. I went onto my iPhone applications and added an Onkyo HF Player volume and bass boost application for free to my iPhone. This application only works on Apple iTunes and not Spotify or Amazon music. Once that was installed you really get to see how great the bass and clarity of music is. I think these earbuds are best utilized for airplane travel, reading or any other stationary activity. You really have to venture into the $100 plus price point to get great workout earbuds.
