I got this door scratch protection trim to use on a project of mine that is not it's intended use. It works perfect for making a sun and spark shields to attach to my welding hood. I know this is not the intended use for this product, but it was my intended use for it. I did try it to see how it installed on my truck door and it fits well and goes on fairly easy. However, that isn't my style, so I took it back off and used it for what I got it for. I am happy with it, and I have plenty to use for my projects. I feel like it is a good price and would get this again if or when I need too.

first off, I don't know why they advertise them as adhesive free...though the edging technically is, they include a roll of tape adhesive that one can use: it just ads an extra installation step if you find you need the adhesive part to get them to stay put. With that said, I found that the channel on these edgings are deeper and they also have a sort of barb system that helps them grab on and hold in place better. So far, I have not needed the adhesive and hope that i don't as the adhesive tends to cause them to cloud up or yellow over time. I am happy with the product, there was plenty of it to do my 2 door car with plenty to spare.
