Powerful book about developing your mind
Dr. Carol Dweck, a professor at Stanford University, spent her career studying motivation and success, and in this book, she shares her findings on how our mindset towards success can impact our ability to achieve it.The book begins with a brief history of Dr. Dweck's research on mindset, which began with a study on why some students give up easily when faced with difficulty, while others are more resilient. She found that students' beliefs about their intelligence played a role in how they responded to failure. Students who believed that their intelligence was fixed (a fixed mindset) were more likely to give up when faced with difficulty, while those who believed that their intelligence could be developed (a growth mindset) were more likely to persevere through challenges.Dr. Dweck then goes on to discuss the implications of her findings for both individuals and organizations. She argues that instilling a growth mindset in people can help them achieve greater success in their personal and professional lives. The book includes many examples of people who have overcome adversity by adopting a growth mindset, including Michael Jordan, Bill Gates, and JK Rowling.Overall, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success is an insightful and inspiring read that provides valuable insights into the role our mindset plays in achieving success. It is well-written and accessible for readers from all backgrounds. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about motivation and achieving success in their own lives.

Excellent book
I loved reading the book - the author has explained the Fixed and Growth mindset in great detail along with relatable case studies. I liked the approach to building understanding and making me think as a reader. The writing style follows a conversational mode, making me think on a few occasions and introspect. A perfect book for someone focusing on introspection, growth and self-development.Also some powerful tips about parenting children for the future to grow resilience and strength. Also it ties in very well with concepts of management around radical candor, grit and resilience.

An eyeopener
The book was an eye opener. While I have always valued efforts but still considered inner talent (or in my case, the lack of it) almost indispensable. Well articulated messages, both on how the fixed mindset makes you think to the way one can overcome it.

Para reflexionar
Uno de los libros que más he tardado en terminar porque invita a reflexionar sobre los conceptos plasmados. Recomiendo,

An important concept, lots of examples, but a bit repetitive
Carol starts the book by describing the two mindsets - fixed- and growth oriented. While it is a simple concept, there are many misconcepts around it. It also isn't always easy to spot when we're acting on a fixed mindset vs. a growth one, so there are chapters dedicated to exploring how different mindsets lead to different outcomes in many areas - business, relationships, sports...The last two chapters of the book are dedicated to clearing some of the misconceptions around mindsets, as well as to explain that though the concepts are simple, changing mindsets is a task that requires constant effort.
