Cute, fun and a really thoughtful author
I love how the author shows how much fun can be found in the pages of a book. This is a quick read with bright, engaging illustrations.UPDATE: My only original criticism was that I found the effort to present the ninja as “they/their” grammatically incorrect when mixed with “me.” I understand this is tied to gender, but I found it distracting as it took away from the actual message of the book. The author announced that she plans to update this book and a number of others and simply stick to first person. I think that’s fantastic, and I love how she responded to readers’ feedback. My son and I are working through the author’s box set for the first 8 books, the ninja plushies that correspond with those books, and the overview book that presents all the ninjas. We’re having really good conversations and practicing the tips and strategies.

I liked that common and not-so-commonly explored feelings are explored.

My student's love the Ninja Books!
I am a special education teacher and my students love the Ninja books. They will love this one as one of their favorite days of the week is going to the library. As I read the book, It brought memories from my childhood when my grandmother first brought me to the library. I thought is was the most magical place and ignited my lifelong love of books. Thank you, I can't wait to share this story with my students.

Perfect for littles
I love this book series. What a great way to teach littles how to enjoy and use the library.

Silently revolutionary!
I love how this book shows children how, even though their thoughts may be loud, they can still be outwardly quiet and even encourages the big thoughts by letting them fully engage their imagination! I do, however, wish that a gender was chosen for the ninja. It reads better. And there are enough ninjas to represent each gender adequately.

The Library: The Best Kept Secret in Town
I really enjoyed this book. It is as a teacher rewarding to see kids excited about reading and finding adventures in a book. If you want to grow a reader give them a book they enjoy and who knows how far that they will go.

World of imagination
NINJAS GO TO THE LIBRARY by Mary Nhin focuses on Quiet Ninja as they struggle to find a ‘quiet’ place for themself.Quiet Ninja is overwhelmed with the sights and sounds, and discovers a quiet place called a library. Unaware of how a library operates, a ‘friend’ tells Quiet Ninja they can go anywhere they want, be as loud as they want, when everything is in their head.NINJAS GO TO THE LIBRARY is a colorful story about reading, about libraries, about exploring the world of imagination.Told in ABCB rhyme scheme; the text is simple using non-binary forms of address; the images are colorful and bright.
