Allen EdmondsMen's Manistee Belt

Needed and caught this amazing belt at an amazing discounted rate.

Forewarning: I'm an extremely picky guy. These are all insignificant nit-picks, but I feel an explanation should be given as to why the belt was only ranked a 4 instead of 5 stars.The belt style has changed slightly in the last two years. The tip is no longer cut as "pointy", the buckle is slightly more curved, the embossing on the back went from a beautiful stamp to a tacky gold (although thankfully still embossed and not just silkscreened on), and the reverse side of the belt is black instead of natural leather. The color of the leather is more uniform on the new belt, whereas the original had areas that faded from a dark to a medium brown.All in all, the current belt feels more like a rip off of an Allen Edmonds belt than a genuine article. The stitching, hole spacing, width, and depth are all identical, and the leather itself feels nice and supple. I imagine that the belt itself will outlast my ever-expanding waist. It'd just be nice if they'd not change their design so much.In the pictures, the original belt (purchased at an Allen Edmonds store) is on the bottom. The new one (purchased from Amazon.com Services LLC) is the top one.

Fantastic

The color in the Amazon photo for the coffee colored belt is MUCH darker than what is depicted. The belt is actually a dark brown. Not helpful when you’re spending that much to try to match natural chromexcel leather boots.
