Re-Marks Vintage Atlas Puzzle, 1000-Piece Puzzle for All Ages, Fun Jigsaw Puzzle

I really liked this puzzle. I usually only do Ravensburger puzzles because you can’t beat their quality, but I decided to try this because I like collage style puzzles. The quality of this is pretty darn good. My one complaint would be that some of the pieces are really small. I did get used to that though. The pieces fit well together and there is a bunch of different shapes. It was a challenging puzzle without being frustrating. I don’t like puzzles with big areas of solid color, where you can only do trial and error. So boring! This puzzle had none of that. I really enjoyed it!

My dad is a huge puzzler. Actually, my whole family is so we trade puzzles back-and-forth for years. I got this one for my dad for Christmas. He loved it because of the theme. I haven’t seen it out of the box yet, although I am sure I will soon when it makes its way to my house, but the box was bright with vivid colors, and my dad said that the pieces of sturdy and lock together well.

First the good. This is a true jigsaw type puzzle, in that the pieces are not just cookie-cutter...there are a variety of odd shapes, which I liked. They are pretty sturdy, and the images brought back lots of memories. No missing pieces. A small poster is included which shows the completed puzzle.Okay...I like doing puzzles because they offer a nice diversion. I enjoy a challenge, and one that takes a while to complete, so I can enjoy it and get my moneys' worth, especially when paying almost $18.00.This puzzle was TOO EASY. Once I put the border together (which I like to do first), it was just a matter of laying the pieces inside where they belonged. This piece is part of Buddy Holly; this one clearly from I Love Lucy; this piece is Little Richard...it obviously goes there...etc. It was like doing a crossword puzzle that was too easy. Just putting in the words, or in this case laying down the pieces. Not enough of a challenge since there was no mistaking where they went. I was done in short order.For some, this might not be bad. I just like more of a challenge. I still might pick up another puzzle from Re-Marks. I see they have some for the Holidays and even if they are easy too, they still might be fun.

The recipient was very excited and pleased with the puzzle.

I found this puzzle while searching for something moderately challenging and it was perfect! The pieces were good quality and the fit was good as well. I usually finish a 1000 piece puzzle within 2-3 hours, this one took about 7-8 hours total. I would include a picture but I’m not giving Amazon perpetual access to my camera.

Growing up in the sixties, we recognized all of the iconic images. This was a very fun puzzle.

This puzzle I did with friends, it was excellent. I liked the individual ‘puzzlets’ within the puzzle (each travel poster). It had small pieces, but good shapes. No cardboard dust. Some of the designs were very teeny and I had to take a photo and zoom in to see what was on them, but it was still great. Great quality. Good poster.
